Take Two Interactive hosted an investor's call on Tuesday after revealing its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012. It also showed some aggressive projections for its 2013 fiscal year that would seem to indicate a Grand Theft Auto V release will come within that time frame.

During the call, one analyst pointed out that Take Two's projections for fiscal year 2013 were especially bullish with $2.00 to $2.25 per share. Its net revenue projections are $1.75 to $1.85 billion up from $825.8 million for fiscal year 2012.

While the publisher does have games like Borderlands 2 and XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Bioshock Infinite on the docket those would not logically account for the huge jump in earnings per share or revenue.

Okay, so why do they logically think that those other 3 games have no one interested enough in them to account for that huge jump? Sounds like GTA fanboyism in full effect by that writer. Borderlands was a major hit and people are still playing it. Bioshock Infinite is a highly awaited game in a series of games that were critically acclaimed by gamers and reviewers alike. X-COM: Enemy Unknown may be the wildcard for those younger gamers who don't really know about the classic game series. And it doesn't help that 2K Marin had that crappy 1st person shooter they renamed as XCOM (which was pushed back to 2013 thankfully). So this Enemy Unknown, which is actually the true X-COM remake may not even be on gamer's radars this year.
2K's wack-looking X-COM fps got delayed AGAIN  ..feb.2014
Good! They should've never bastardized the name X-COM by renaming that bland game The Outsiders the name of a beloved classic game series.

They're saying 2014 now..

Yeah that makes sense cause its usually a 18 month gap between systems being announced and them coming out.

GTA5 will close out this generation and then expect GTA 6 (or its equivalent) to drop about 2-3 years into the next gen systems cycle due to Rockstar making sure they know what the fuck they are doing.
