Hall of Fame “disappointed” by “unprecedented” decision from Terrell Owens

Terrell Owens often didn’t do things by the book during his playing career, and that isn’t changing now that he’s retired and heading for the Hall of Fame.

Shortly after Owens announced that he will not attend his enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Hall released a statement saying it regrets that Owens won’t be part of the festivities, and noting that no Hall of Famer has ever done so before.

“We are disappointed but will respect Terrell’s decision not to participate in the Enshrinement,” Hall of Fame President & CEO David Baker said in a statement. “While unprecedented, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the nearly 5,000 volunteers and the entire community are committed to celebrating the excellence of the Class of 2018 that will kick off the NFL’s 99th season.”​

The Hall of Fame is hoping not to let Owens’ absence overshadow the big day for the other new Hall of Famers.

“As we do not want to detract from this great honor being enjoyed by the seven other members of the Class of 2018 [Bobby Beathard, Robert Brazile, Brian Dawkins, Jerry Kramer, Ray Lewis, Randy Moss and Brian Urlacher], their family, friends, and fans; the Pro Football Hall of Fame will have no further comment on the decision made by Terrell Owens,” ​

the Hall of Fame’s statement said.

Owens has not said what he will do on the date of the enshrinement ceremony. It’s unclear whether he’ll stay away quietly, or host his own event.
 
We all know people like TO. Very sensitive and insecure who seem to never be able to accept responsibility for their actions. It is never their fault. He almost behaves likes a damaged female.

It is never their fault and they claim they had nothing to do with the outcome. Every team TO has played for his tenure at that team ended the same exact way. You asked man what happened. “I didn’t do anything they just started with me” Every where TO has went has caused problems. TO can’t even act right in the hall of fame, further proving that he is indeed a problem

Not everything is a Fuck You moment. The Writers are the ones who kept him out not the Hall. TO is a great no doubt but dude didn't do it on his own. His Hall of Fame speech is a chance to let the world know the sacrifices others made to help him reach such heights and if need be he can blast his critics while the world is watching. Time to let that old bullshit go and move on.....bad move. He's having a real "Nigga Moment".

So I wish all the sports commentators and critics would have the same anger and vitriol for Donald Fuckface and that anthem bullshit like they have for T.O.

Their silence is very telling. T.O. do what you feel you should do. Fuck anyone else's feelings. Because we have a Piece Of Fucking shit "leading" this country in to a fucking shit hole and no one seems to give a fuck.

You see this that bullshit thinking. No one can confirm what someone thinks about them nor should they spend one sec trying to convince anyone they are not what ever the fuck someone think they are. We hear this same shit from white folk when we do something and they use it as a means of verifying their white supremacist ideas. Sports suppose to be the one true meritocracy meaning your performance is the indicator of whom you are and what awards you receive. Terrell said in the interview on undisputed that he was ok wih the first year snub that’s why he showed up to the selection ceremony the second year becaus he let them have that one. When they snubbed him the second year and he didn’t show up to the selection ceremony the third year, what the fuck they think was going to happen, if they truly know whom he was and can predict his behavior they should have seen this coming long ago.

He can not confirm the biases of other people they already believe that shit nor should he be grateful to receive something he earned, no one sends their boss or payroll an email every two weeks thanking them for their paycheck they earned. TO earned his place in the HOF and no one can take that away and he definitely should have snubbed they ass. Someone have to bring attention to the power those whom select individuals for awards have particularly being that most of them never played the sport to begin with but they get to choose whom gets awarded. Fuck that.
