I was reading and getting my daily dose/dish of sports news from FoxSorts today, and came across an article written by one my favorite sports writers, Jason Whitlock. Jason writes a regular sports column for them, when not co-hosting for ESPN PTI, or writing a column for the Kansas City Star (his regular gig). He was also a part of ESPN's Sports Reporters. The 'controlling' word is WAS, but that's another story better told by him.
Nevertheless, the article written by him was under his by-line, "NFL Truths". It discussed a possible 'downfall'between T.O. and Tony Romo:
"T.O.and his histrionics wear on a quarterback. He's like the hot stripper you tried to clean up and convert into a real girlfriend. It's a lot of fun until the moment she has her second drink while out to eat with your parents. You unravel quicker than she does. (As the saying goes
You can't turn T.O. into a housewife. (He is what he is)!
"I like Romo and have a theory that he's just the latest talented QB to be undermined by a dysfunctional, bipolar relationship with Terrell Owens. It's just a theory. I'm not ready to swear to it.Jason went on to mention a very important bit of insight--and quite revealing--observation made by ESPN football analyst, Keyshawn Johnson during an ESPN pre-game studio broadcast last week. "He (Johnson) suggested there was a breakdown in trust between Romo and Owens. (Romo's seemingly) lack of trust explained why omo looked to Jason Whitten on critical downs." Plausible? After the play the cameras were pointed towards the Dallas sideline, showing T.O. ranting and raving with his arms waving through the air. Which is not unusual, as of late.
Williams coming over from Detroit--while another weapon--is also another T.O. headache. I'm sure Romo has mixed feelings--unfortunately.
