SWV performs “Weak” for NPR’s Tiny Desk concert

Coko vocals are still superb....

the 2 backup singers need backup singers.......lol

i remember a few years ago one of em was one a radio show in Atlanta cryin about being broke

I think the 2 drummers are a bit overkill but it was refreshing to hear them again.

Nice concert!

My favorite thing about this song is the message that people sing the song over and over again and most people don't get it. They're talking about facial cum shots and people have been singing this song for 20 years plus missing that fact
Okay I never knew that either

The track's writer and producer Brian Alexander Morgan signed a production deal with Atlantic Records. He ended up at Sean Combs' recording studio Daddy's House with Kelly Price handling vocal production. Morgan played the demo for Atlantic artist Brandy in front of her, Price, and Deric Angelettie for inclusion on Brandy's 1998 album, Never Say Never. He later played it for Combs - who was working with SWV on their 1997 album, Release Some Tension. Shortly after that, Morgan got a call from SWV's label, RCA Records. The A&R head at RCA wanted Morgan to participate on the album. Morgan initially refused - citing none of his songs being released as a single on SWV's previous album, New Beginning. Morgan instead offered "Rain" to Brandy, but Atlantic Records passed on it - which was later given to SWV.[2]

The music business is shady as fuck. There's a part of me that's glad I didn't try to get into it really.

Who produced their songs?cause I've heard their music so much and still to this day the radio plays their songs and to have come out during the 90's when there was a million and one groups and solo artist is a blessing for them and amazing .

They still look good to this day and a DJ can toss their shit in with a younger crowd and it could rock

Man, I had an ex that would take the whole load mouth open and tongue wagging like my own personal pornstar.

"Every little drip drop" (yeah, right they're talking about love. Just like The Whispers were talking about rocks in the song 'Rock Steady')

Damn, miss that chick
