wow,,, i'm in kc,,, & that school is just a few miles down the street,,, i'm shocked & pleased to hear this story, because that school was always known as a second chance school for dropouts to get their G.E.D,,, maybe they changed the format?,,, props to the brotha tho
 
Good stuff. However it shows you that these big corporations are not interested in building a car like this. Many scientists and students have built these for years even the big name carmakers as well, yet no product. Big Oil ain't going anywhere anytime soon.
 
It's cool that this dude made this but this has been done before I think that any automotive company out there can do the same thing but that would cripple the oil industry and that ain't gonna happen. They preach about building better cars yet still refuse to make one with gas mileage like this one they full of shit.

It looks like an old Dallara Indy carbon fiber.
The body is polyeurathane panels.
The suspension is definitely titanium racing components.

The care probably cost in excess of $80,000 in components and will never be road worthy.
 
Kids at west philly high did something similar last year and their entry topped the entry by M.I.T.

the car was built by a group of students not just that one kid. i would assume they choose to interview him because he got the most of the program and now wants to do something with his life besides be a hoops star.
 
Notice how when he was exposed to something REAL in life, he actually found himself, and is starting to stop stupid dreams like basketball. Our youth need to see whats really out there in the world and find who they really are, and keep the basketball and rapping bullshit to the side. This reminds me of the teenage black investor who built his account to 50,000 so far while still in high school. If we actually knew what the world has to offer we'd end up being the best in basically every field.
 
I am gonna call the bullshit on this. Since this contraption uses zero gasoline, I suspect that they are calculating the mileage on the basis of power consumed at off-peak hours, which is the gimmick that people have been using to exaggerate these mileages...

yeah I mean black kids are toooo convinced they will be the next great pro athlete or rapper. i remember when i was a kid it was like that then too.
 
Im speaking off memory but about 10-12 yrs ago i read an article about someone that invented tires that never needed to be replaced!!
Needless to say these types of pple always end up dead!!
