Stopping the violence. What part do black women play?

Have you ever realized as a black woman. As a woman. You are responsible.

It may not be you. But why didn't you don't check other women you know, family, cousins, friends, from respecting the G, WHEN HE WAS EVIL, AND WRONG.

Nothing wrong with loving a man, who holds it down, and is on his own. But ya'll know what I'm talking about. The WRONG.

I have always felt from the way I knew it, the behind the shit of G-rap, B-Harbor, Behind GD shit, and on the Ill side of STL with West Indian fam, southside Chi, and in LA, Crip for life, all that. Bottom line everyone wanted women.

So I'ma just say, something I've said for years . . .








If it wasn't for the pussy. No one would be selling . . . no one would be banging.







If it wasn't for that shit, there would be VERY few " tuff " guys doing it. There was a time when we all thought we were . . . :(

When a black man is young, and a king, he sees things, and he wants to be heavy part of it. To gain the respect of the 'hood ', and especially women.

Is it your fault, WILL you take some responsibility.




Most important. Can you change it. Black Women are the most powerful practitioners on the planet. You control the thoughts of KINGS

Yes.

The drug addict is willing to rape, when he wants sex.

The drug addict is willing to rape, when SHE wants sex. If it's a trix, then so be it.

The child abuse, I think that is just sickness.

Burglary. C'mon, most of that is fiends. I had one run in my house, because of what my neighborhood has become. YOU KNOW THIS, so don't ask me to give not one inch to drug addicts.

There are few victims.

Now, what about the kids, 15-20, selling, where are their mothers.

Where are there mother's sister's who are half way decent.

Where are the black women, NOW, fighting this against the people who need to be fought against.

The ones who look just like us.

Where are the black women of old?

I've been trying to figure that out since I've been on BGOL. Everybody points fingers, but nobody wants to claim any responsibility.....



As a black man I take FULL responsibility for my past actions of the sisters I mistreated....since my maturity has grown, all i've done was show respect be positive show love and let them know that i'm here for them....


My hand is out there with the understanding that u can't save them all, so It's a matter of what sistas are willing to grab it and go forth in the direction of reconciliation and bonding.
 
I don't think it really has anything to do with black women, or women period. It's about power and control. If women didn't exist, men would still fight for power and control. Your economic standing has the biggest impact on how you go about achieving this power.

People with/born into money don't typically deal or bang, it's usually those who don't have it, and are trying to fight to get it.

But here's the real deal. If you truly want to put and end to the vast majority of violent crime in this country. Stop the flow of drugs. There won't BE any gangs. No drugs, no money for guns, and basically nothing left to fight over.

How do we stop the drugs, you ask? Simple, pretend there are WMD's in Columbia, and bomb the hell out of all cocaine and marijuana fields and production facilities. I believe this is where we get something like 80% of it.

Stop dreaming the drug flow will continue into this country as long as there's a profit to be made on its victims. Do you know what a I. M. I. T. Bond is? (Insured Municipals Income Trust) It's just your basic jail bond. There's billions of these bonds in circulation and as long as they exist you can bank on drugs making it into the country.

Having worked on Wall St. I can tell you the average citizen buys stocks not bonds. The average citizen knows nothing about I. M. I. T. Bonds but big business knows of them and they do invest heavily. They don't give a damn about the victims that get caught up in the system. Their only concern is their bottom line.

Most people misunderstood the OP. He never stated that women were completely responsible. His question was when will women accept responsibilty.

That's a good point. We all walk around blaming the opposite sex, when in reality EVERYONE is to blame. The more we point fingers, the longer we'll stay in the cycle:

1) man and woman meet, act irresponsibly have a baby.
2) man leaves ( locked up / leaving his kids)
3) woman raises children alone and bitter. kids affected by either the mother's bitterness, poverty or lack of family structure.
4) children start out at step 1.

Some people break the cycle, but some don't / can't / won't.

that's far from the truth bruh, marriage is in every culture in one way or another. marriage has existed for thousands of years, way before the honky was civilized.
 
Co-siging this thread. there is enough blame to go around.
But lets keep it real alot of girls go for the "d-boy" Some girls fall
into bad relationship but, Alot of females welcome a knucklehead

this is what they want..... Destiny Child "solider" ....Fantasia-"Hood boy" etc
Bascially reenforcing negative sterotypes that these are the desired dudes to go after (until one of these ninjas go upside they damn head!)

Women have the power right between them thighs,to control a great deal
on this planet. But basically using that power recklessly has lead to
alot of knuckeheads being born. One's socio-economic status,education,upbringing etc.... has alot to do

I completely understand the connection to drugs and money, but that wasn't the point I was making related to the thread subject, which was about stopping the violence. And I'm just pointing out that if "they" TRULY wanted to stop it, that's how it could be done.

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that's done in this country is based on big business getting paid. Since you've worked on Wall St, you probably understand this better than most. I'm just pointing out the true reason behind the OP's subject about violence, and that black women don't play as big a part of it as the OP suggests.

While I don't agree women bear primary responsibility, I will say that according to a lot of older heads in NY, women were a big part of channeling the gang culture into hip-hop culture.

They got tired of the jail and death and drama and funerals, and the b-boys were fly and sexy and fun and live and turned the party out.

So they started giving the b-boys more play than the gangstas and gradually NYC gang culture phazed out. Whereas the exact opposite is happening today.

No, crime will never go anywhere because it is strongly influenced by economics and education.

But we don't need gangsters to be 100% gone for the black community to improve. In my grandparents' day, the gangsters were known, feared and respected, but only a minority of the community wanted to be like them. As many or more folks wanted to be doctors, preachers, factory workers, postmen, etc. but overt racism stopped them.

Now the overt racism has receded a little, but nobody seeks out diverse dreams and opportunities--it's rapper, athlete, hustler, and everything else is a distant 4th and so on.

Bottom line--if the older women set the younger women straight, and the younger women reject the young-boy hustlers and thugs, it would have a tremendous influence. Shane is absolutely right about that.

I agree. Maybe someone should create a co-ed volunteering organization that lets eligible young black men and women work side by side, on some unity tip. Might even be some good relationships that come out of that activism. ;)

Maybe I need to think about what I can do on that front too LOL

I have been in public safety for over 20yrs. I think I have a little knowledge on this subject...



Rape is not about sex its about control.

Abuse is behavior that is learned. If your son is seeing you hit a woman he will think its ok.

You guys need to pay attention to what Fem is trying to say.
