Still not convinced on JC Chavez Jr

He looked strong but very vulnerable to even a little bit of speed and movement. Had Zbik's corner actually done more coaching and less cheerleading, he might have won that fight. Sebastian practically gave him that 11th round by standing in front of him and letting him stay in tight.
The last thing Arum and Roach want is for him to fight Sergio Martinez but with that crowd they drew last night in LA, HBO might push for it. I would.

watching it now JCC Jr. is very easy to hit....if next fight for JCC Jr is Sergio it won't end well for him,....:smh:

He was practically a giant in there with a guy who made himself easy to hit and Chavez could barely hurt the guy or move him backwards. The only thing a fighter like Chavez would have going for himself is power and the ability to manhandle his opponents. His career is doomed unless he can keep selling these bum fights.

Dude reminds me of Margarito with more power and less volume punching. If he got in there with Martinez or Pirog or any guy who can box and punch, he's screwed.

Which is why HBO wouldn't fuck with him for years but Top Rank taking Pacquiao-Mosley to Showtime/CBS shook them.

Watch Roy try to check Max after the fight when Max said Jr. wasn't a real "world champion". I admire Roy but Max was right. Dude barely beat a handpicked guy for the title that they took from a guy he wouldn't stand a chance with. If he wants to be more than just a "titleholder", he needs to beat Sergio.

And Roy talking like he might fight again:smh: Nigga, take that HBO money and stop!

:lol: This sounds like an insult to one of these fighters, but I don't know who is getting the bad end of the stick. Both are terrible imo.

I like Chavez Jr but I don't think he deserved to win. I think a draw would have been fair. I think they could have continued moving CHavez Jr slow because he has potential but he still has an amateurish still learning feeling about him. He's just not there yet but if you've seen his previous fights it's obvious that progress has been made.

However, particularly, the way he awkwardly positions himself in front of his opponent with his feet often parallel is just bad. Right now he is banking on his chin but he could get hurt if he was to square himself up like that in front of a guy like Canelo Alvarez. Jr shows that he has what it takes on the inside but he obviously needs more polishing and quality sparring.

Which is why will probably not see it...they gonna milk this kid for a long time.

what was the the numbers for Mosley Vs. Pac?

Still waiting myself. But they got HBO to carry JCC Jr so they got what they wanted.

Understandable but he finished strong in a close fight and that's usually enough to win. When I saw Zbik get dominated in the 11th, I was already thinking he lost the fight right there. When he stopped moving and punching and stood in front and let Chavez beat his body up, he deserved to lose. Not hearing his corner tell him to move stood out to me. They were cheering him on but not giving instructions (from what I heard when the mics were on).
I wouldn't be against them fighting again since Zbik was the champ and should get a rematch but I thought the right guy won.
