this is what my ex called what i did for her
(she's my ex after last night)

she graduated from cna school but i had to work so i missed the graduation. so i asked her to dinner she said she wanted something different so i got a real expensive hotel room got her the cake she likes (german chocolate) her favorite food for dinner and alcohol some balloons and 3 different dozen roses. so im textin and callin her to come thru and shes at her homegirl house 2 hours pass and i fall asleep when she finally shows i'm droggy cause i just woke up and all she does is complain the whole time.she is saying cause its not like how it is in the movies "its like serving a steak dinner on a trash can lid".having reached my point i tell her grow the fuck up, she shouldve been here on time and that if she wont appreciate what i did another female will. i told her get out and take what she wanted with her. we have been together for almost a year, but enough is enough. do ya'll think i over reacted?

I think you did the right thing. in the big celebration and in telling her to kick rocks when she started bitching. not all chicks will appreciate stuff like that. and you went above and beyond. further more I'm willing to bet she tries to make up with you. real talk if she's a good chick and sees where she's wrong maybe you can take her back... but nothing wrong with leaving it as it is either

It honestly sounds to me like he either simped out on her to the point that she sees him as a weak man not worthy of respect. OR he was trying to build something real with a young minded chick who can't appreciate a real man.
