BY SHABANA ARIF The Collector's Edition for State of Decay 2

has been unveiled, and the wonderfully gory assortment of goodies includes a State of Decay 2 patch, a steelbook case, zombie mask, a thumb drive in the shape of a severed digit, and a human brain steelbook stand. The only thing missing is a copy of the game.

The details were revealed by Xbox, and it will set you back $69.99. Pre-orders are open at retailers now.

The Standard and Ultimate Editions of the game were revealed last week, priced $29.99 and $49.99 respectively. The Ultimate Edition will include early access to State of Decay 2 on May 18, State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition on Xbox One. and the Independence Pack and Daybreak Pack DLCs.

The surprisingly low price point was explained by Microsoft GM of Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg as a way to "build a long-term relationship with the State of Decay community and to foster deeper experiences with the franchise," and will "give more players the opportunity to join in and experience this unique game.”

It will also make buying the actual game to add to the Collector's Edition slightly easier on the old wallet.

That 4k vid looks good...but I am just not feeling 3rd person views.

My shit is Dying light though. Waiting patiently for part 2.

For $30 I might pick this up....after reviews of course.

Hoping Marcus is a playable character again. I had him maxed out in the first game. Had so many oh shit moments where I should have died as him its funny.

Dann they made the night time element compleatly dark. You're tucked if you go wondering on foot at night.

Hopefully my community is smarter about using resources when I am not playing. Hate coming back an hour later to anarchy.

I think a update fixed that in the first game.
From anarchy to a mild mutiny lol. But did I hear things correctly in the base building video. Did I hear him say that the game does not progress when you are not playing?

Hope there's not a incentive on using firearms. I made it through the first game by using melee combat and the trusty drop kick.
