"Starbury" To The Celtics...How Long Will He Last?

ESPN reports that former Knick, Stephon Marbury, will sign with the Boston Celtics, soon!

But how long will he remain a Celtic, ensconced in a 'back-up' role behind Rajon Rondo....a young man who never tires. How many minutes will he get? Marbury's not use to sitting, especially during a basketball game.

Who--on the Celtics--will police him? KG?...his old Timberwolves' teammate.

The Celtics may put up more than most, because they really need a guard. If Step doesn't work out, there's always A.I... the "practice" man.

Celtics need him now... especially with KG out, Tony Allen out, and their dismal loss to the Clippers last night.

They should take the chance... otherwise how else can they get best Eastern record let alone even have a shot at best NBA record.

This will be different experience for him. More than likely, he'll just be there for insurance against injuries. The same role Cassell played for them at the end of last season (where he barely played 5 minutes per game). Steph will NOT be able to walk into the door playing that "Starbury" shit on a squad that are the defending champs AND already have a starter capable of running the show on a level way beyond anything he is capable of. This might just be his attempt at "getting a ring", because he damn sure isn't going to play much (unless Rondo gets injured)

he played well today..12 mins..8 points 2 ast 3/4 fg.....he's going to make a deeper impact than sam..cause he can play the one or 2...the 2nd unit will be much better..dude was impressive today, i mean he has not played in a regular season game..
