Starbucks Strike

A strike for what?
These chicks don't really do shit but pour coffee into an empty cup :dunno:
I have never stepped foot into a Starbucks in my entire life
And don't even drink coffee anymore in years
So maybe I'm trippin?

I understand that every worker at every job/company wants to get paid "what they are worth"
But on the real.....what actual skills (eduction, college degree, etc, etc) are they bringing to the table?
So they want like $40+ an hour plus tips.....to pour coffee into an empty cup?

Mofos gonna fuck around & find out
When they are the first ones to be replaced by AI robots in a couple years

Working at Starbucks is super hard work. It's high stress and physically taxing as the prep, distribution and cleaning are literally non stop for a full shift. It requires a damn near photographic memory to store all those recipes that people expect in less than 5 minutes. Customers demand different personal creations and it must taste exactly the same, every time or you have to remake it.

Embarassing rant. What the fuck are you doing that you think AI cant do better? Also note that if its better, you arent fit to clean the dust from it's transistors let alone supervise it.

Starbucks heard the workers, listened intently. And said "Fuck you and your demands, we'll release a cute cup for $30 and everybody will forget all about you niggas"!

Starbucks workers are demanding higher wages, more consistent hours, better healthcare, and an end to what they call unfair labor practices and union-busting by the company. Key demands include a base hourly wage of at least $20, more consistent and predictable scheduling, and the resolution of numerous unfair labor practice charges against the company. The union is also seeking improved staffing, more consistent work hours for all employees, and better benefits like enhanced paid leave.

Key demands
  • Wages: A base of $20 per hour for all baristas, with proposals for raises up to 77% over three years, and a higher wage floor for shift supervisors.
  • Hours: Consistent and predictable schedules with more hours, specifically 32 hours for full-time and 20 for part-time, to help workers meet the threshold for benefits.
  • Benefits: Enhanced paid leave, better healthcare, and enrollment in a Starbucks-sponsored retirement plan.
  • Labor practices: Resolution of hundreds of unfair labor practice charges filed against the company and an end to alleged union-busting tactics.
  • Staffing: Improved staffing levels to improve store operations and customer experience, as well as more protections for workers.
  • Other demands: The inclusion of credit card tipping and additional training.

I have a question.....
Which job is more demanding
Starbucks workers or Chick-a-Fila workers?
Because I see them chick-a-fila workers hustling & bussing their ass everyday
How much are they getting paid?
Shit they might need to go on strike too

:puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled:

If workers at most places went on strike a lot more often, we would all be better off.

Couldn’t pay me enough to deal with some of their asshole clientele, as noted.
