Everyone is familiar with the first verse, but have you heard or read the whole thing??? Our National Anthem..

The Star-Spangled Banner

O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream,
’Tis the star-spangled banner - O long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore,
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion
A home and a Country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash’d out their foul footstep’s pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave,

And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand
Between their lov’d home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with vict’ry and peace may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto - “In God is our trust,”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Black folks are still lining up to be on the frontline to fight these wars.

:smh:

Never did care for that fuckin song. Shit has nothing to do with black people.

Oh, but it does, bruh. Francis Scott Key made it explicitly clear how we were thought of during that time and it will forever be a part of this Nations war anthem. "You can run, but you can't hide. We will forever be on your ass as long as you're on the lands of this Nation, slave." That's why we only sing the first verse.

And the leaders excerpted it. Jefferson probably ghost wrote it

Type "star spangled banner full" into your google search. This shit ain't a secret, fam. I just got the idea to make this thread after my 9 y/o twins came to me about an hour ago excited that they had learned all the words to the song. I had to sit them, the rest of my children, and my wife down and school them on the full song and it's meaning.

I'm pretty sure there was a thread about this made here years ago that I got the info from. Looking back, I'm amazed at the amount of info I've learned from this "porn board." I really wish some of the more knowledgeable old heads still posted here.

well that was a lie,

Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth proved that...

So did the Seminoles when they found refuge in Mexico?

Wow that was informative..

now everytime I hear that shit, I will spread the word..

five star INFO gets five stars!!!

Folks don t seem to understand.....during those times Slavery was the only show in town....economically and socially....

this entire country s foundation was (and still is) slavery

:smh:

This is exactly like the chains on the statue ov liberty. Whites hide their evil/racism in plain sight.

I'll never forget the look on my wife's face when I showed and proved to her that France originally intended the Statue of Liberty to be a gift to the United States of a black woman breaking the chains of her enslavers. The original chains are still on the statues feet and a replica of the original face is in the basement of the statue.

Yep. Those hidden facts show the true nature of this country's relationship with liberty.

You learn something every day. Falls in line with the default belief system of the U.S.

say word. props op. the more you know

"Say word", man, you just transplanted me back in the day. one of my old Navy boys used to say that. but yeah, you learn something new everyday. we've got to find a way to overcome this bullshit and come together and stop fighting for nonsense and trinkets

Yo the line right above that..

"Their blood has wash’d out their foul footstep’s pollution".

wow bragging about murdering a people and wiping their footprints from history!!!!!

their savagery knows no end.....

I never knew the thing about the Statue of Liberty. I truly believe that whites are the only pure evil creatures on this Earth. Sure, all races are involved in shenanigans, but only whites have a real inferiority complex where they have to suppress everything non white.
