unfortunately i laid off several employees from the carolina stores and temporarily closed some down until sept. so i'm not just bleeding money. on top of that all of my salespeople had to take a pay cut.

most were going to get a pay cut or let go anyway because some of them were making ridiculous large amounts of money off of hourly from the previous owner... i had 2 people that were making 14 bucks an hour. so i had to put everyone down to minimum wage (6.55) but i raised the commission structure which would easily compensate what was missed in hourly could easily be made and then some if "they did the job".

i'll admit wasn't a pretty site...women crying, men cussing and ranting...everyone threatening to quit, yet a week later everyone is still here still working as if nothing happened...

but two stories caught my attention out of all this..

2 kats one married one not but with a girlfriend had their women bounce on them because they took a paycut....

is it that easy to bounce on a dude because of something like that?????? does that show she's the better person for easily moving on to find the better or would they have been the better person for sticking around?

Don in answer to the question, my perception of the situation is that these women were looking for a reason, any reason to get out.
That is not a reason to leave a partner. Sometimes a female may "bounce" because she can't think of anything else to do but separate herself from her partner because she may be going through certain things herself. To leave merely because finances change if you are in a committed relationship makes no sense to me. You should be able to deal with any issues at hand.

i promise money wasnt the only reason the females left

it might be the one they claim...but theres more to it than that

it is for an entry level position that's based upon a commission structure. avg is minimum wage up to 10.00 bucks indirect.

OK now it makes more sense. But its getting rough in every aspect of society and I know its never easy ending someone's employment.

If you're really invested in the relationship and aspire to see growth in yourself and your mate, you wouldn't just leave him hanging like that...you have to think about if the shoe was on the other foot. We all hit rough patches in life (i.e., losing a job, the death of a loved one, possible financial hardship, etc.). The point is not to run away from it with a partner, but work on how, as a team, you handle it. Obviously, these women were not in it for the long run. Your former employees should consider it a "blessing in disguise" for losing such deplorable women their life :smh::smh::smh:

If a woman loves a man, she would be with him with money and no money. Personally, if my man lost his job, I would ride it out with him but that's only if I thought he would do the same for me.

MOST CLOSELY MEANS:

I ain't mad at cha, sis. Still got love for you, but SP ia my west indian brother. I HAVE to show respect for him making big moves in the states. What really made those women leave their men? It wasn't him.

Carribean Massive!

I'm going to market this thing.

It would take more than the loss of a paycheck for me to leave my man...Been there done that. Hell, when times get rough we have each others back. Hell he can stay home and hold down the front while I work...At least until he gets back on his feet.
Young sistas I swear:smh:

It ain't a blessing at all if either man had assets. It happens all the time in the industrial sector. A tradesman pulls a good wage, buys a house, car, savings and then he gets injured to the point he can no longer work his trade. He starts an entry level job to stay afloat and start over. His wife decides to leave him so that she can cash out and take her half before he takes a loan or dips into the savings.

I've literally seen men reduced to begging on the street after suffering this kind of loss.

Some men may chase the woman away because they feel inadequate when their standard of living drops. Its easier for a man to say "she left me" than to say "I didn't feel like I deserved her anymore".

kudos for this uncommon perspective:

...three sides to every story...

his side, her side and the real side.

You need to hold seminars for these youngins.

i hope you gave these people some kind of warning not just come in one day and said starting tomorrow your going to be making xxx.

well $14 can support a single person with an apartment thats living within the means here in FL. Hell I seen people do it with less.

I know a young lady with a 10yo and a two bedroom apartment, that is making it, while she is in school. Things do get tight from time to time (price of gas does NOT help), but she's good with money, and doesn't do a lot of unnecessary stuff.

It can be done.

the responses are a little funny by people scoffing the 14/hr...

if i took the national avg and ratio'd it to bgol members, 60% of bgol members are making less then 14 bucks an hour.....

majority of that percentage is not even making 10 bucks an hour...and people are living off of it...
