March 8, 2007 -- Hot-headed hoops has-been Latrell Sprewell has been ordered to pay his estranged girlfriend $32,000 a month in child support.

Westchester Family Court Magistrate Rosa Cabanillas-Thompson has ordered the former Knick star to open up his wallet for Candace Cabbil and their five kids after he allegedly cut them off - and attacked Cabbil - last year.

The decision orders Sprewell to pay the support beginning Saturday.

Sprewell hasn't played pro ball since 2005, when he turned down a three-year, $21 million contract extension offer from the Minnesota Timberwolves that he found insulting.

"I have a family to feed," he said at the time.

Co sign, true words bro..... He has 5 children to support and he had alledgely stopped suppoting them so why shouldn't the court lay down the law. What's interesting is that he turned down a 3 year extention of £21 million, saying that it was insulting and that he as a family to feed, yet he alledgedly stop supporting them. That just aint right.

He can afford it even though it may be half of his income. They didnt pull that number out of the air. Im sure they are well informed of his income. That being said, Their should be some kind of cap on child support. That number is outrageous!!

Really? Do you have kids? If so, do you take care of them?

Wake them up, bathe them, get them dressed, feed them, take them to school, make sure their school lunches are taken care of, pick them up from school, help them with homework, feed them again, bathe them again, spend your quality time with them, put them to bed?

Do you take them to soccer, football, baseball, ballet, music, martial arts, and other forms of practice?

Do you take them to the doctor when they are sick? Stay up 24 hours when they are in need of monitoring? Do you clean up their vomit, spit up and bowel movements when they don't have the control? Do you do their laundry, including ironing and folding?


Or do you just buy them a game or a dvd, throw a ball at em once in a while, kiss them on the forehead and call it a day?
