SOUTHWEST AIRLINES Pilot aborts landing to avoid plane

Just got back to ATL last night from San Francisco. 4 flights.. ATL to St. Louis then San Fran and back.

All the stuff going on was in the back of my mind for sure.
Glad your safe.

Something is going on at the airports and no one is really blowin the whistle yet on exactly what it is but it's something and their going to have a dip in sales soon with all of these things happening and Drump/Musty isn't going to bail em out because they don't have to board those planes.

I ain't never been a fan of flying but the train is looking more and more safer and it also goes in some area's that are on some Indiana Jones type of shit.

I flew into DCA (Ronald Reagan) for a quick work trip on February 2nd, just days after the plane crashed with the helicopter. My Uber driver drove by the scene where cop cars were still posted up with flashing lights. I was nervous as the plane started landing and flew over the waters of the Potomac.

Yeah man, I typically don't get nervous when I travel by airplane.....but traveling right now. Not sure I want to do it.

Ive never been a fan of flying but I have flown many times over the years including this past year going back and forth to Vegas but Im done until we get this shit under control. its getting to be common place for there to be flying issues and this is only going to get worse and more tragic.

285 of 313 Air Traffic Control Facilities Are Understaffed

i heard the ATC recording of this incident,.............the pilot of the private jet was clearly not following instructions after being repeatedly told to hold short of runway 13. I believe they told his ass like 3 times to hold and stop. They need to pull his pilot's license.

That was a question, can they pull a license for this screwup?

Did he acknowledge them? Could be he didn’t he didn’t switch from the ground radio after calling to taxi to atc which handles take departures and landings

Can’t stop living and it’s still safer than driving by 1000% Flew back yesterday from my little man’s football game and 8th grade dance if I was to have a last act I’d want it to be loving my kids.
thank you.

Yes, at least for 30 days, and retraining is required.

I sincerely hope they do.

Sounds like ATC fucked up.. Told 560 to cross runway 31C and hold short after the pilot messed up on the read back.. atc told him negative and continue to cross runway 31c and hold short… 560 dude did as told while the South west jet was approaching to land..

Atc should told 560 to hold short on Taxiway F at 22L… He told 560 to make a left on 22L and proceed to cross 31C and hold short…

That’s on ATC but dude in the tower was slick and put the deviation on the pilot hence why he gave them a number to call lol

Elon is gonna have a buncha bodies on his hands...before he's done..

Really?
The only one said to cross 13C, was the flexjet
The ATC said 3 times to hold short of 31C, for that hard of hearing flexjet.

Maybe I’m hearing it wrong I heard atc told dude left on 22L(which is a runway) then cross 13c and hold short

Either way flex jet dude had to get off both those runways regardless that why I said atc should have told flex jet to hold short at 22L…
