Tom Coughlin apparently will be generously rewarded for guiding the Giants to their first championship in 17 years.
Coughlin is close to receiving a long-term contract extension from the Giants, according to a report published Tuesday by Newsday.
Citing two anonymous league sources, the newspaper reported that the deal could be completed some time this week.
