Nobody knows what happened or what she has been going thru with him. Some dudes will constantly misuse a lady and keep seducing her into to more of his bull shit. Even after this he will try to act like they are tight and no one can separate them.
He might have spit in hers before she hit the ground the first time. Only the people around there know more than what we were able to see.
