Someone recommend a surround sound system for a TV.

What's your budget? Are you looking for a HTiB or buying separates? How many channels? What a/v receiver, if any? Will it be mainly for music, movies, or both?

The rabbit hole runs deep. HTiB is cool to start out with depending on space (it'll definitely be better than a sound bar). If you find it lacking, that's when you start looking at buying separates (indiv speakers). It's hard to recommend anything in particular b/c there are so many variables: your listening space/layout, speaker placement, need for acoustic paneling, etc.

I'll say the biggest things for my set up were spending money on a decent receiver, decent subwoofers, and acoustic paneling.

Peace.

I have the Klipsch Cinema 600 soundbar and sub. Rear speakers purchased were sold separately.

I like it although I think a better equalizer would help music quality.

Probably better systems out I had mine about five years.

Either way, this website will help you get just what you want.

Carry on……
