Somebody!!!!!! Please Tell Me Why Black Woman Hate Each Other ???????????????????

I don't agree that this is a black women's issue. It's just some period. I hear all type of women say they don't get along with other women as well. Since we are black, our experience would be with another sister. I have very good, close, intelligent, confident black girlfriends. There's nothing like having good friends to talk with, laugh with, share with. Male friends are cool, and very important to have, but they can't relate to every issue a woman has.

I would have to guess that if you are the only 2 black women in the office it is a competitive thing. That's unfortunate...but if you are the only two sisters working for that company, that's a problem in the first place. Personally, I know for a fact these white folks in the office us all in the same light. I don't care how light, cute, well spoken, educated...you still a NIG to them. I'm always glad to see a new black face in the office and I want to see them do well. If I'm refering someone for a position in my company, they are black. Of course someone that I am confident won't make me regret it and I know will do well. Some people may call that racist, but I just call it sticking together. Every other race does it, why can't we?

Sorry this has been your experience girl, but not all sisters act like that.

Interesting Topic and considering the response I would say point proven to some extent.

While I personally doubt your credibility and I confess I must agree with some of the Old heads about you being suspect (FTP) While here in SOL it's supposed to be softer and gentler where the crowd is more welcoming and tolerant. :smh:

But I guess you still have to put in a lil work to earn some respect on either side of the board.

Back to your original topic: Maybe if you get this type of attitude everywhere new you m ight need to adjust your apporach to new females. I think that women especially don't like to be forced into friendships. Sit back be cordial and just play your part, when the right opportunity occurs for you to begin a dialouge be ready. When we get new people in my Job it usually takes a lil while for people to warm up to them because we are all trying to feel each other out to see If personalties match.

Damn I caught the subliminal slap as well
You ladies is Harsh!

I think, given my personality, I have never had an experience where I totally disliked or felt the urge to compete with another black woman I worked with or dealt with. Generally, I don't try to make friends with anyone I work with, but am cordial and friendly with all. Most people (male and female) are pulled towards me because I'm so easygoing. Personally, I don't understand the concept of one woman/person "hating" on another... to me, someone will always feel like they have the up on you or are better than you at something. Don't give them the privilege of bringing you down, cause it comes from their own insecurities...

i don't even think women know why they hate other women.

they just do.

more importantly, they'll hate each other until a man comes into the picture; then, they'll join forces and hate on the man even harder.

then, one of them will get weak, fuck the man, and then, they'll start hating each other again.

Understand, we all come from different places. Some black woman may not have or never will experience this. However, as you can see a lot of us do, no matter what type of personality we have or how we carry ourselves.. Like some of the sisters have already stated.

cinamiss aka (0_0)..l.. finger

yeah I peeped that too Don....however, IF we give the poster the benefit of the doubt.....

Cinamiss you must realize that you first became suspect on your first post. You brought all attention to yourself and that for BGOL spells trouble more often than not. I mean even I checked your IP right away.
On here there have been way too many attacks from seemingly innocent ones. As Femme alluded to one Rachel79 or whatever its name was. Had a few "banned" user names accumulated. We here @ SOL as Bigirl said get along well. Not everything we are gonna agree on but we as far as I have seen thus far respect each others differences.

If you are truly genuine then welcome. My advice relax chill a minute and participate as best you can. I only ask that there be respect.

Peace

Yo. NEWSFLASH. Black "people" hate each other. That's why there is even a debate about whether to support Obama. We have been divided from the inside out. Peace.:smh:

Damn. You are so right about this. I have one good black female friend and we have been best friends since middle school. She lives in another state. Black women are threatened by the most silly things. If they think you look better, your hair is longer, you get more attention from men, etc. It's pathetic. I am not hateful toward other black women, but most of them really seem to hate me. They hate me before I even open my mouth to speak. It's as if they are looking for reasons to be hateful. I don't let it bother me because some things are just inexplicable. Don't waste your time trying to figure it out, because whatever the answer is, it won't make a damn bit of sense.

Co-sign...Its the same for me and women.
