Yes, Also the republicans do not want Obama to accomplish anything significant because they figure it's detrimental to their future. The republicans are also bound to their 11th commandment (The 11th commandment is a term used in Republican politics to describe an unwritten rule in the party discouraging public attacks on other Republican political candidates. The 11th commandment is "Thou shalt not speak ill of any Republican.) If one of their congressmen votes with democrats (without being told to by the republican leadership) he is view as unfit and will be basically replaced next election.

I believe under Clinton we had 1 or 2 government shutdowns.

Republicans are the worst kind of politicians ever.

They will do anything to see Obama fail, but this reflects badly on them. :smh:

yeah what alot of people dont know is around 95 or 96 i believe it was a shutdown or close to one it just wasnt as publicized as this one (hmmmm wonder why)
