That would never happen. Interned for Marta engineering in college(16 years ago) and ALL Marta train cars have a sensor that alarms and stops the train from moving with any space between the doors. The train would have never moved if it got caught, and even when closing the door the operator is looking from the side and would have saw it without the automatic safety mechanism in place. He held on to it via the outside and was lucky in that part of the track(West Lake -> Ashby) is a fairly straight shot with no slopes or turns.
