There are consequences for everything. You never really know who you are talking to so you better be prepared to catch hands if you say something out of pocket, especially some racial shit. It goes the other way too. If you put hands on somebody a possible consequence is jail but sometimes you might have to take that chance. The person on the receiving end of a beat down will think twice next time before popping off at the mouth, especially if they get a proper beat down.
When i grew up there was this thing called fighting word. Shit you talked about someone mams that could be a fight in elementary. You knew you had to have a big brother 2 grades up that had a reputation of beating people up if you wanted to talk shit.

I was at the court the other day in the heart of the inner city. Two brothers was arguing over who had next. Older guy arguing with a 18-20 year old. It almost led to a fight you can tell that the younger dude didnt want to do shit when he said "my people's right up the street". Like ok.....you need your family to help you fight a older guy that is smaller than you.
Thats against the 10 street commandments.
