Cox cable says in their commericals that when it rains, Dish users lose their reception. How much of this is fact and how much is not?

It's actually really rare to have the signal go out even in the rain because the dish itself is covered in polyeurathane.

And just to be real, as a former Comcast customer, I used to believe that hoax too, until my wife and I visited her parents (dish owners) and we watched about 4 movies during a major storm. Given that fact, AND the DVR, I've been a dish customer ever since. Ask anybody with a DVR and they'll tell you how addictive that mugg is. lmao.

It depends on how strong of a signal you are able to recieve and how hard its raining. There have been window rattling storms where I don't lose signal and if I do, its's for no more than 10 minutes
