Serious question: Did anyone watch the National Geographic documentary on nudity?

I'm wondering why they showed uncensored footage of nude African woman, but censored footage of white woman? They showed African woman topless. Yet, they blurred out the breasts of white woman who practiced nudity as a part of their religion. I felt indignant when I saw that. It seems that the censors implied that it's o.k. to show nude African woman, but not nude white woman, because African woman are less human.

Was that racist, or am I overreacting?

Yes, I was surprised. Nudity is nudity. Why is it acceptable to show nude African woman but not nude white woman on a documentary on nudity? That is racist. I don't believe that the National Geographic channel, or the F.C.C., thinks that they can get away with that.

Its the National Geographic Loophole. This is the Hollywood convention which teaches us that brown breasts are not as sinful as white ones, and so while it may be evil to gaze upon a blond Playboy centerfold and feel lust in our hearts, it is educational to watch native maidens frolicking topless. This isn't sex; it's geography.

This loophole is racist, an evil double standard in which white women were protected from exposure while "native" women were cruelly stripped of their bras, not to mention the equal protection of the FCC.

It makes me angry, but I know that's true. Damn, I'm going to write an angry e-mail to the National Geographic Channel. I wonder if there is a way to complain against the F.C.C. too?

Not necessarily racist, but it is white supremist. Within the white psyche, they view Africans (Black people in general) as uncivilized savages, thus Africans being nude 'in their mind', is part of our barbaric nature. And since they believe that they are civil, (think Adam and Eve and the fig leaves) the showing of their flesh is not permitted due to the "sanctity" of the white woman. It can also be a sub concious manifestation of the idea that white skin is shameful and un-natural, while colored skin is normal and beautiful. Either way, what you saw was in fact white supremist.

I Knew as soon as the program went off someone would be on here talkin about how they showed the black women breast and not the white girls. I was thinkin the same thing

Hell, I've wondered about this shit for YEARS! Why is it ok to show African women's breasts & not white women's breasts? Because white women's breasts are sacred. That shit has bothered me ever since I saw those National Geographic specials & magazines as a kid....Damn Oedipus Rexin' ofays.

sure enough that documentary showed some prejudice. certainly this documentary says that africans are uncivlied and the white are much superior than the rest, therefore do not insult them showing nudity, when the fuckers were the first in history, i believe, to start the raunchy porno industry....i mean wheres the justice.

I noticed a long time ago.

They are haters is very evident
