The Senate has passed a sweeping financial regulation bill designed to rein in big banks and protect consumers.

Yeas - 60
Nays - 39

Next step into the process is for President Obama to sign it into law. Which he will probably wait until next week to sign when the Senate votes on the Emergency Unemployment Compensation Bill which they are waiting to vote on until after the West Virginia Governor appoints the temporary Senator to fill the seat of the Late Senator Byrd, which he is expected to do by 5 pm Friday

What did Ben Nelson want this time for his vote. Man, Harry Reid (not one of my favorite Senators) need to handle the Senate the way Nancy Pelosi handles the House. Stuff passes in the House so fast we forget about them.

Nancy "We Have to Pass the Bill So That You Can Find Out What Is In It" Pelosi? How does she keep a straight face?

I'm telling you,

when you put women in charge...

But, anyway, never in the history of the United States have they ever passed a financial bill without making things worse down the road.

People never learn. It's like every generation there is a new batch of suckers to believe these government scams.

From the Coinage Act of 1792 to this one today, it always ends up robbing the productive to pay and support the unproductive.

Not true at all. Glass-Steagall wasn't a problem until it was repealed.
