Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Az): Are the GOP bailing on Trump?

He's right but its all meaningless coming from a person on their way out. People planning to stay need to say all of this but of course they're all cowards.
 
Only if by "bailing" you mean not running in the up coming elections of 2018 and 2020 because they see the writing on the wall.

These kind of Republicans are people who supported Trump only because they have supported all things Republican, and they thought Trump would calm the fuck down after getting into office. Seeing as he didn't, they now want to save their reputations for a later run for office (2020-2024 etc) by distancing themselves from the shit storm they see/know is coming sooner than later.

Trump is single handedly destroying the Republican Party with their blessing. They created a monster and now they are hoping their enemies (the Democrats) will do the killing of the monster for them with an impeachment and then an ousting ... only problem is, his supporters are still left behind in the Republican Party.

Real Republicans would do better to just abandon the GOP to the nutcases that inhabit/infest it now and form a new party ... they might even luck out and pull away Conservative Democrats and reinvigorate Moderate Republicans to prominence again.

He and those like him are leaving because they can't win primaries in the hard right Republican party of today. They don't want to take the loss they would never recover from
