Scientist in Japan claim to have discovered Planet X

Kyoko Hasegawa said:
scientists at a Japanese university said Thursday they believed another planet up to two-thirds the size of the Earth was orbiting in the far reaches of the solar system.

The researchers at Kobe University in western Japan said calculations using computer simulations led them to conclude it was only a matter of time before the mysterious "Planet X" was found.

"Because of the very cold temperature, its surface would be covered with ice, icy ammonia and methane," Kobe University professor Tadashi Mukai, the lead researcher, told AFP.

The study by Mukai and researcher Patryk Lykawka will be published in the April issue of the Astronomical Journal.

"The possibility is high that a yet unknown, planet-class celestial body, measuring 30 percent to 70 percent of the Earth's mass, exists in the outer edges of the solar system," said a summary of the research released by Kobe University.

"If research is conducted on a wide scale, the planet is likely to be discovered in less than 10 years," it said.

Planet X--so called by scientists as it is yet unfound--would have an oblong elliptical solar orbit and circle the sun every thousand years, the team said, estimating its radius was 15 to 26 billion kilometers

Crazy thing is that The Sumerian's thousands of years ago spoke of the existence of another planet (Niburu) in the outer reaches of the Solar System.

Nibiru is not Planet X.
Sumerians never said Nibiru was a Planet Either.
This is all Zacariah Stichens "Interpretation"
Nibiru is just another name for the God Murduk

Actually Marduk replaced the name Nibiru (which is older) and took on all it's attributes when he became the national God of Babylon.

I have a tendency to get tied up in his "interpretation". And since there aren't any other viable archaeologist (that I know of) who can decipher Sumerian text it's hard to gauge what is what.

I have never come across this, care to drop a source?

That's Planet X(Nibiru/Wormwood). You can keep denying it all ya'll want. For that last few years they've been posting stories about a planetoid on the outskirts of the solar system.

Here's a story from National Geographic dated 2004:

Fuck here's a story from 2000"

I don't think that planetoid is it. It's got to be further out and larger than that.

Does anybody know why they can't find it with Hubble??

It would be very dim. I think the CHANDRA telescope looked for it. It uses infra red, but where Planet X is supposed to be in the sky put it in a very hard area to weed out a star that would be coming towards us because it is very full of hotter stars that would blot out a cooler star.

 @ all of Lenny's links. Did you previously bookmark those?

Nope, I just looked em up. I remember hearing about this years ago so I did a quick search. What killed it was when I found that 8 year old article. C'mon how many times are they going to keep "discovering" the same planetoid?:hmm:

Remember this is what THEY are telling people. It's more than likely misinfo.:hmm:

Maybe so ... I'm of the belief that Zecharia Sitchin got it partially wrong. Nibiru is not a planet the way he describes it, it would be too cold on it's own.

For me it's either a planetary system made up of a small brown dwarf star that has planets in orbit around it. (like our own sun) So Nibiru might be either the name of the star, the Gods' homeworld or their whole planetary solar system.

Possibly.

..man, they're all late and wrong. Daffy Duck found that shit like 50 years ago..

I was going to ask the same thing.....
It seems like a new planet x is 'discovered' like every 3 years.....

I think they have discovered several small planetoids out there beyond Pluto that are in orbit around the Sun. The "Planet X" moniker is typically used whenever they find something out there in that area until they name it.

I've read there are variations in the orbits of Neptune and Uranus that suggest that there should be something out there that is at least the size of Jupiter.

Even the Voyager spacecrafts have shown some delineation in their trajectories once they got outside the effects of the Sun's solarwind ... that also suggests that there is something out there that is Jupiter huge

You're right about that, there is an anomalous tug on Neptune for instance. It is as if a larger planet is in the vicinity. Since Pluto is too small to cause this the planet in question would have to be quite large.

bruh, you interpret many things wrong.
your thread title directly says
" Scientist in Japan claim to have discovered Planet X"

i come in here and read the quote and it says
"Planet X--so called by scientists as it is yet unfound--would have an oblong elliptical solar orbit and circle the sun every thousand years, the team said, estimating its radius was 15 to 26 billion kilometers."

bruh take your ass to school.

Shouldn't the underline above be under claim instead of have?

Ahhh yeah.
That is what you wrote?

I'm Lost, Can somebody tell me or point me in the right direction... whats so special about planet.. and why do u think this is or is not that planet.. and if it is... whats so special about it??
