what would i go to school for if i wanted to work as a trader or something to do with the market?

also i have read a lot of books and i have noticed that a lot of people have been successful without school. so do you guys think school is mandatory or i should just put my time in a business i want to start?

Finance would be a great choice just try to focus on classes dealing with options, futures, general investments, and mathematics. Also if you can try to go to a top school b/c it opens up more doors for you. If you choose the school path do an internship in the field you are trying to get in. It's a very lucrative field so the competition is crazy. You could always open up an account and trade on your own if you want to.

I interviewed for a trader position but I needed income monthly and it was a unpaid position until they hired you. Then they provide you with the capital (I think the guy said $20,000) and a contract for five years. Below are some of the positions I applied to from craigslist.
