Scam alert BGOL be safe...

Hold on. How did they have your Social Security?
They must of hacked into some data base, it had me going for a sec, but I know I closed out my Verizon account way back after I moved and switched to optimum. So click online had the same problem with them , had her ss# and never was with Verizon.

Funny, I received a call about a debt from like 12 years ago from a collection company who wouldn't tell me their name, and in regards to the original creditor they couldn't tell me about them either unless I "verified" some very private personal info
:hmm:
I laughed in that bitches face

Some similar fuckas have been calling my cell claiming they used "government databases" to confirm my address or place of employment. They keep telling me to call an 844 number also. This is why I know it's bullshit. Couple of the messages claim they've tried to serve me several times. I was like, "Bae, any strange muafuckas been tryna serve me papers here?" She was like Nah I'm here everyday an nobody has been here that we didn't know. They keep calling from different numbers too and won't identify who they represent. Don't fall fa da Okey doke. I stay blockin these bitches.

Got a phone call yesterday from some folks claiming to be a collection agency, their number they originally called from was 404-424-4402 and they said that I was about to be served with a lawsuit, and to find out information about it dial, 844-839-7972..
When I called the 2nd number it was some chick who claimed I had a past account from verizon that defaulted back in 2003 when I was living at some other place.. She said the bill was originally 200 bucks but with interest and court cost I owed 4,000. But if I paid today all I would owe was 500.. The sounded very professional and their shit was tight, even had my SS# and my old apartment address. But you know me I don't believe in shit with out investigating, so I said I'd call them back, I immediatly google the two numbers and got nothing but scams back..
Folks if yall get a similar phone call don't give them shit, take down the number, google it and report it if it comes back funny....

This is a scam that has become very popular this year. These guys have gotten very sophisticated. They have really started going after people that have filed bankruptcy because your creditor information is a public record. All someone has to do is look at a newspaper and have a electronic federal pacer account. You can see everything that you need about a persons financial situation. My Bankruptcy clients call me about this shit at least once a month. I've actually started giving these numbers to the US Trustee's office, because this is a national problem.

Here is some free legal advice for you to help to determine if it's a scam. If a creditor gives out way to much of your personal information then it probably a scam. (Most collection agencies will already have your information and they will not state your social security number over the phone. Most will ask for DOB, Acct Number, or Phone Number on file. If the creditor refuses to give you the Acct number of the debt, then it probably a scam. (they will always have the prior account number). If you have filed bankruptcy and the creditor says that they know you filed and doesn't seem to care... it is definitely a scam. (Creditors are terrified of the automatic stay and will not call if they know you filed) Just be careful out there.

I got one of them a few moths ago. When I started asking about account numbers and shit bitch caught an attitude and got pissy with me.
