SAXOPHONIST DAVID SANBORN HAS PASSED AWAY

My Ex and I saw him in concert soon after we first met in 94. I was never a big fan of his "jazz". It was more like department store music than jazz, imo. He did a helluva show and was a great saxophonist.

Damn, I am one of the last few people who still listen to smooth jazz. He was the man in the 80s and 90s. Rest in peace sir.

Sanborn and Roger Corman within the last few days.
This totally sucks.

Can't even begin to count the number of times I saw Sanborn throughout The 80s. Though not as much as I saw MILES (that's another story). But that doesn't make Sanborn and his music any less influential. Especially since "Smooth Jazz" was at its height during that time. Of which Sanborn was a major purveyor.
