BALTIMORE -- The actor who played Savino Bratton in HBO's "The Wire" was treated for stab wounds after an incident Sunday night in Baltimore.
Christopher Clanton was stabbed in the chest and buttocks at Overlea Caterers in the 600 block of Belair Road.
He was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.Clanton told The Baltimore Sun he was trying to push past a fight between two other men when someone started fighting with him."I was trying to get out of the way," the 22-year-old Clanton told the newspaper.Pepper spray was used to disperse a crowd of about 30 people, according to Baltimore City police.Clanton was a reoccurring guest star on The Wire, which recently completed a five-year run. The show was set in Baltimore.Clanton appeared in nine episodes.His character was killed last season.
