Sandman Netflix Discussion Thread

Because of this, I will hold off until it’s confirmed a 2nd season.

Netflix is notorious for canceling popular series and have a shitload of popular series sitting out in limbo right now with no updates on continuing them.

I would watch bro...

It is worth it

Think of it more as an event especially if you are a fan of the comic series.

Yeah, I get that, but I have gotten into a number of series over the past 5+ years and found out I wasted time watching it cuz after a few months of their debut, Netflix cancelled them.

There are a number of series I have come across that have been recently released over the past few years, after one season they got cancelled or just sitting in limbo. I have them written down waiting on confirmation of a a 2nd season.

I got involved with the Witcher after it got confirmed of a 2nd season. And it’s come out that Seasons 4 and 5 have been approved and in pre-production. So I can stick with it.

And they pissed me off this year cancelling “Raising Dion” after the 2nd season. I was hyped for season 3 after seeing that after-credit scene.

I still haven’t seen Squid Games. Season 2 has been approved, but I read the producers are still struggling to get a season 3….and it’s looking like it might not happen

I have noticed this year they are trying to clean their mess with new series by labeling a number of them “Limited Series”. They leave it off for potential continuation.

With that post I quoted, that is too much of a Red Flag for somebody to put that out. That means that cat that put it out has gotten word that the series might be getting axed.

I will hold out for now, I got plenty of other shit to hold me over until confirmation. I ain’t in a rush to watch it.

i completely respect it.

I knocked out the first 5 episodes the other night.

I am very impressed with this series.

I will give a final review after getting the remaining episodes finished.

The Sandman
2022

8/10

This series debuted last year. I sat on it until I got confirmation on it getting renewed.

I found out in early March it got renewed with new episodes debuting in the near future.

I started watching it back in March and finished last night with one of my sons who was watching it with me.

I am not familiar with the comics, so I went into this series blind not knowing what it was. The trailer sparked my interest.

The series played out well starting out with a brief synopsis of the Sandman and other primary characters. It starts out in the early 1900s with him being captured.

From there, the series proceeds steadily with a good pace. There are no filler or slow points. It was interesting watching how the series jumped from story to story around the main character bringing in a number of supporting characters.

The series is overloaded with well known actors from prior projects thru-out the years. They all do a good job.

Visually, the series looks stunning. I debated on if I should watch it on my LCD TV in my truck on the road, but decided to watch it on the Big Screen Smart TV at home. Good decision cuz this series is on movie theater quality.

For the Gay Agenda trackers, there is a number of scenes with same sex characters interacting. All that is seen is PDA/Kissing. There is a flamboyant binary character in the series.

I’m definitely looking forward to season 2.

There are 11 episodes that run about 50 minutes each.

Synopsis

When the Sandman, aka Dream, the cosmic being who controls all dreams, is captured and held prisoner for more than a century, he must journey across different worlds and timelines to fix the chaos his absence has caused.
