Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson and former NBA star Magic Johnson drew unexpected criticism after shopping in the Italian resort town of Forte dei Marmi.

Jackson and Johnson were on vacation in the northern sea town, when locals spotted them sitting on a bench after shopping surrounded by bags from luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton and Prada.

As people started taking photos of the pair and sharing them on social media, some Italians became outraged.

There must not be too many Hollywood or basketball fans in the country, because Jackson and Johnson were mistaken for migrants.

Many Italian social media users were angry by the sight of two black "migrants" who they believed benefited from Italian money, only to shop in expensive boutiques. In their posts, the angry users often mentioned the 35 euros, paid by Italian citizens for accommodating refugees on EU quotas.

Italian model Nina Moric, who is originally Croatian, also joined the ranks of those outraged by the photo of the American stars. She said that seeing migrants misusing "our 35 euros" was "too much."

Samuel L. Jackson is an American producer and a highly prolific academy award-nominated actor, who has appeared in over 100 films.

His companion, Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. won a championship and an NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award in his rookie season, and won four more championships with the Lakers during the 1980s. Johnson's individual career achievements include three NBA MVP Awards, nine NBA Finals appearances, and twelve All-Star games.

Comic actor Luca Bottura utilised one of the pictures to make a meme and start a social experiment. She shared the image alongside the caption: "Boldrini's resources in Forte dei Marmi shop at Prada with our €35. Share this picture if you are outraged.”

Don't forget the usual they wouldn't have had this treatment over in some country with brehs. Mind u didn't Jidenna (classic man rapper) have to hire security to bury his own father back on his home soil where his Pops was a chief.

Just saying let these brehs live. If them local cacs had beef let em choke on the anger. Why stop enjoying a spot u paid to fly over too? Same thing anywhere else security would've had to been paid a "donation would have been made" to keep locals away. That same donation tax has been spoken on by brehs from other soils.

Jidenna never said why he had to hire security though....he might've just been paranoid. But you know you're always going to have your plotters and sheisty people around. Everyone looking for a lick.

Naw breh he did go back and look at the interview. Breh said his being lighter over there caused hate. He also said being lighter and his being part American toward the local combined whom his Pops was meaning he had dough locally and in the states.


That combo had him looking like he was a medium rare Japanese Wagyu A5 Grade beef. Premium and ready to be cooked literally by the locals .

They knew who they were,and the height of Magic alone made sure that they knew they weren't just some regular "migrants" bumming around with expensive brand items.
They were mad at two black men getting attention and doing something they can't and that's afford a yact ,whatever else they choose to want in that small shitty italian town.

I dislike those ugly musty crooked nose sucker's and Italy smells like a public bathroom....fuck em,keep doing what they do with a smile cause I bet you the women there liked taking pictures.

Ive mention this in a few threads.. When you leave this corporation, these people have no luv for americans!! I know on the tel lie vision they show on ET people going overseas and everyone loving americans, but thats not how it really is!! Im not saying everyone hates america, but they all dont luv americans either!!

I understand ya diss but don't play yaself Italy is beautiful. The way the locals prepare food and just relax and dont care. The fresh farmers market local farm to table. The scenery Positano, Capri and Ravello. The drive along the coast.
