Star Wars to be Blu-ray Exclusive?
http://n4g.com/tech/NewsCom-38642.aspx

There have been rumors before that the Star Wars trilogies would be appearing on the Blu-ray disc format. But looking at the Amazon.com website it can be seen that there are two pages up for the Blu-ray version of the film trilogies (one for each trilogy) but no equivalent can be found for HD DVD.

There is no current release date for the films and in the availability section it simply says that, "we will e-mail you when this title becomes available". Still if Amazon, of all retailers, have pages up only for the Blu-ray version could they know something we don't?

If it does turns out to be true then Blu-ray and PS3 fans could be celebrating soon as this could be "a catalyst that triggers even larger adoption rates for Blu-ray over HD DVD".

you know what this may mean if true...

yeh thats old news, George Lucas always said he would put Star Wars on Blu-Ray only. And I agree Blu-Ray sales will skyrocket off of this.

I just wonder if we will see the Spiderman trilogy and the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy in Blu-Ray this fall.

The first 2 Pirates come out this month and they already have coming soon ads for the 2nd spiderman flick.

I wish these Star Wars cats would give it a damn rest. Star wars is so damn old, nobody cares anymore.

Especially since the last 3 sucked. The original trilogy is still of the hook though.

I glimpsed at "Return Of The Jedi" yesterday (the "new" version released in 1997) and was amused at how dated the computer graphic enhancements look just ten years later.

I know his bitch ass is probably about to burst wanting to "touch up" the movies AGAIN.

Lucas pimped the game but he's a big-headed walrus-chinned dick for fuckin' up I, II & III.
