Dad tackles kid wrestler
The angry reaction of a suburban Chicago father was caught on tape this past weekend when his son was pinned by another wrestler during a wrestling match. This home video shows Ray Hoffman's son being pinned to the mat by 11-year old Nick Nasenbeny during a tournament sunday night.
Suddenly, Hoffman enters the video, grabbing young Nick by the shoulders and throwing him off Hoffman's son. In an off camera interview, Hoffman said he regrets and is embarrassed by his behavior and that his son is being treated for a shoulder injury. But, obviously, Nick and Nick's father think Hoffman went too far.
Dean Bogess, a wrestling coach who was at the event sunday night, said the move being used by Nasenbeny in the video is uncomfortable, but not illegal. Hoffman also told WMAQ in Chicago that he's been informed that he'll no longer be allowed to coach wrestling himself, as he has in the past.
