Rosario Dawson says the last eight years of President Obama SUCKED because he did not TWEET enough

Only if the truth is revisionist history. Dumb ass liberals, the same ones that are Bernie bots now, didn't show up to vote and as a result the Democrats lost 63 house seats and 6 senate seats.

Vote for who ya dumb ass nigga. .. a fake ass progressive that didn't support Obama? You're a special kind of idiot. .

Damn I really use to like Rosario.

Just another Rabid Bernie supporter.

It's well documented the obstruction and total disrespect towards Obama from day 1. There is no meeting racists half way. Obama will always be the ni--er in the White House to them.

True.
The ni--er in the White House that loves to compromise with them ...#letsreachacrosstheaile..

This is what I get from the article. Yes, there was obstructionism, but Obama had the momentum especially with young people who are willing to do the street work to bring about change and he did not use the momentum he had at that time in a way to keep them engaged and therefore it was easier for the Republicans to obstruct. Basically, he abandoned his base.

No he didn't.

We must really question people who say shit like this.

Racist white people dont give a fuck..they will destroy everything and anything to take down a Black person. Exactly what we have witnessed the last 8 years.

Did he not offer up a cut to social security as part of a grand bargain?

She cares more about fucking illegal immigrants than anything. More have been deported under Obama. Fuck illegal immigrants. Africans can't walk here, and over 50 percent of illegals are Mexican.

Yes it's called leadership.

Someday the tide will change but right now the President has to try and work with the opposite party.

And stfu...you have zero input in this because you are part of the problem. Republicans are the party for white males and the Democrats are the only hope for progress and change.

Its interesting reading this dialogue. As usual, the truth, for me at least, is somewhere in the middle. Obama did a lot. That's undeniable. And in the face of unprecedented obstruction....also undeniable. He was also much more to the right on several policies than most of his supporters want to admit....also undeniable.

I understand the core of what Rosario is saying, although I think she muddled the delivery of it terribly. The core of her argument is one of my biggest disappointments in the Obama machine. They revolutionized the political game with their understanding and usage of social media to campaign.....but once elected, they beat their supporters over the head with emails every other day for fundraising to the point that the platform lost its mojo for them....then when it could have been useful for them again...i.e. the midterms....their supporters had largely relegated those emails to junk mail....I know I did. Would tweeting have made more of a difference? Maybe...maybe not....but I think its fair to say the social media machine they used to win the elections could have been better used to push policy once in office.

As for Sanders......I think some of Bernie's criticisms of Obama are valid....but at the same time, they would go over much better if he gave props where props are due. Unfortunately, the political process is sound bytes and hype.....and Hillary made it a point to paint herself as the "Obama" candidate. Even more unfortunately, Sanders campaign took the bait and went the other way. What Sanders hopes to achieve is much more akin to what the 2008 Obama campaign was about. But its 2016 and Americans have a short memory. More and more....I'm happy that Elizabeth Warren stayed out of the race...for the same reasons that I was hesitant about Bernie running. We need people like that in Congress....not necessarily in the White House. I think back often to the Bill Moyers interview when Bernie was considering running.....he knew what he was stepping into....and its dirtied him to the degree that I think he knew it would. But he made the calculation that it was worth it to get the message out. I'm not mad at it. But I think when it's all said and done, he'll look back and regret not establishing early on that Obama did some good shit that he wants to build on.

Yeah I'm getting sick of these Bernie people man just trying to throw a bomb and blow up everything. Obama policies are slowly working it would had worked faster if he had the right Congress but they stayed home

"Add me to the list" of the people who won't vote Democrat if Hillary gets the nomination.

Go ahead and help the republicans keep white males in power. But don't lecture us on anything about the first Black President.

This type of thinking....while I get it....is what scares me about this election.

2 things about it.....1.....I think Hillary would govern far better than any Repub candidate. But....2.....that doesnt necessarily mean she will govern well, especially where black people are concerned.

The scary thing about Hillary's campaign is that...at best......she actually might not win. Hillary is basically running on fear/disillusion with repubs.....which is more likely to generate apathy than enthusiasm. Again....Americans have short memories....but Hillary Clinton, prior to the emergence of Trump, was large and wide referenced to as the most divisive figure in American politics. She lost the '08 primary because Obama generated genuine enthusiasm. And that is primarily the thing that she lacks. Donald Trump.....fucked up as his whole platform is.....is doing that. And that's on top of the groundswell that 8 yrs of Obama backlash has stirred amongst CACs.....people are genuinely excited about his whole "outsider" thing....and on some levels rightfully so. I would argue that the more righteous manifestation of that sentiment is the Sanders support....but both are tapping into the same thing.....Americans are tired of the political process as is.......and Hillary, least of evils (on some levels) that she may be, is the embodiment of the "as is" process. And no doubt, she will get a lot of votes based on that fear campaign.....but will also generate a lot of voter apathy.

BS. Obama governs like a 80's, 90's Republican. He just believes in progressive social issues but other policies... Not a chance.
Also, it is their job to mobilize the base. They lost because they did not control the dialogue. They were on the defensive, and he believed he could work with people who had no intentions of working with him instead of laying the hammer down.

So:hmm: He was still effective. Especially for poor people
