Nothing about this situation seems to make much sense. Why was a detective there for a simple B&E? Why was a simple B&E scrutinized like this? Laquan McDonald was shot 16 times by a Chicago cop who lied and said he lunged at him. Everybody in his chain of command up to the mayor, saw the body cam footage and knew he was lying and it still took over a year to charge him.
