sidenote: BACK IN THE DAY, LUCIAN FREUD was a PLAYA...he would go clubbin' and ended up having an AFFAIR with GEORGE ORWELL'S wife when he was writing 1984.....

Now this was a 'real' artist, not one of your conceptualists. His is the art which will endure for centuries while unmade beds are put into black bin liners and tossed into a corner. An astonishing talent. A wonderful legacy left behind. Work to marvel at. There will be the usual ' disgusted ' who would rather have a cosy posy in a vase, so be it, but this was a rare genius who has left us much to marvel at.
