Edit: Apparently if you only add the Ring Doorbell Pro without the chime the price for doorbell only is $150. Otherwise apparently with both in cart price is $199 bundled.

If you want both for about $160 add a filler to get to $200 and try a $40 off $200 Lowes coupon code.

Check out the differences on that Pro and the Ring 2.

I recently was trying to decide and got the Ring 2. But still a great deal. I got it for $130 with some discounts.

Why did you like the Ring 2 better?

When I checked in the past the Pro seemed to be the best of all the Ring doorbells.

Rats. Picked up the Ring for $99 and the Chime for $30 just after Thanksgiving.

Love them, but the pro would have been cool.

Props. The regular chime was no longer available so I opted to get doorbell extender chime for a lil bit more and still ended up only paying $175 after using the $40 off coupon & getting a pack of lysol toilet cleaner.

Scratch that, just bought the Pro for $113 without the chime. Gonna return the Ring 2. Still have it in the box. Works out to be cheaper. But my one concern was if the house lost power it would still work with a battery, but there's no way to transmit the vid anyways, so screw it.

I got the Ring door bell 1, the Ring door bell 2 and the Spot light cam. Ring 2 battery does not last as long as the Ring 1 battery IMO. So if you are getting the R2 buy and extra battery from the Ring's web site. Also for some reason the Ring 1 connects to my wifi with no problems (strong signal). With the Ring 2 you might get a poor signal messages after every alert. Had to extend my wireless network (two wireless router's) to fix the problem. You can also get the Netgear Orbi to fix this.

The chime pro is trash, waste of money. Bought two of them, still got poor signal alerts.

Never had Ring 1 doorbell but yea my Ring 2 battery last a month before I have to recharge. In spring I'm going to get an electrician to run a wire to it.

Ring puts out great products. I've added 2 more spot light cameras around my house.

Gemini, did you set up Ring protect kit before it was banned? If so how is it?

Saw the Ring protect up for pre order in October right before i purchased the Spotlight cam battery. I might get it when its available or get the door and window sensors from Samsung. Already have the 2.0 hub.

Got my ring doorbell pro but it's becoming a huge pain in my ass to set up. Not being any power to the unit at all. I've swapped out the old transformer and chime in my house but no dice. I've seen some people say it took up to an hour before their unit finally came on while others had to totally rewire everything to connect directly to a plug-in transformer just to get it to work. I'd return it & go for one of the battery powered units but I actually ended up getting the pro for cheaper than even the original units :smh:

May set up mines this week, so will post if I run into any problems, my main issue is I don't have my internet or wifi up since I was hit with Harvey but have contractors working and I will be at the house doing little odds and ends like changing out doors anyways, so will see.

I'm hoping it's just a case of old wiring gone bad that I can replace & not something bigger. I don't want this to turn into a multi-month project
