Look at this thread and comments that have been highlighted, recognize you're the first to make that argument (though it is closer to what the title of the thread says).
I know very well who Santorum is, he's been railing against gay marriage for years and comparing it to bestiality, when he concluded and said "That’s really the point… I would make the argument, the simpler the date, the more normal it is," he was talking about marriage in general, not black people, who, as you observed, he doesn't give a fuck about. (And, of course, he was trying to attack Obama, which is what should be expected from him.)
His commentary started by talking about black people and reciting those statistics they love to recite but it's clear that the bulk of his statement (the last three paragraphs) dealt with marriage in general, which he has promoted as a sacred institution for years, and not black people.

Just so my main point doesn't get lost, he damn sure didn't say "Pres Obama is setting a bad example for black men with fancy date," that's just attention whoring nonsense to get people to click the thread. Make it as inflammatory as possible. I've pointed it out in some other threads; it's quite common as a tactic (which is why certain people were irritated).
I don't know why someone would care so much to just make shit up to get people to enter their thread, its not like they're getting paid for the shit.

I've disliked Santorum longer than most people here have even known who he was... I've said in damn near every reply that Santorum is a fool and OF COURSE its a nitpicky criticism (one that's been recurring for almost a year as I said, going back at least to the first bailout and private jets)....
