Ryan Gosling: this mofo can't act worth shit!! worse actor ever. He has the same blank expressionless look in his face in every movie for all his scenes. No range, No emotion, No acting. This mofo can't act worth Shit!!!

Harrison Ford: His old creaky ass is just showing up now. It's like he's getting gigs off his name alone. Its clear that AGE has caught up with him. His last 5 movies he looks the same, barely can walk and not really acting. He's harrison ford in every damn movie. clearly age has caught up with him. No longer acting, just getting by on the strength of his name and earlier career hits.

Ridley Scott: Another who needs to retire and get out of the game. His name attached to anything these days will guarantee to leave you un-fulfilled and let down due to the hype. He was killing it earlier in his career but like Harrison Ford, he needs to just let it go and move on.

Production: Beautiful and pointless. This movie has some great effects and atmospheric visuals but do not help the story at all. Its like they made a conscious choice to throw in all these cool visuals that do not advance the story or help the story. The first blade runner visual were bananas because they were groundbreaking and it lent to the story plot. These new visuals are just a hodgepodge of visual eye candy that distract more than help the story.


The plot: The shit was a bumbled, jangled, piece of shit plot trying to hard to be deeper and cooler than what it really is which is FUCKING STUPID!!!. When you think about it, the plot is really basic but it takes too damn long to tell it. I strongly advise you to wiki the shitty movie plot either right after or before you see this piece of trash plot.

Overall I thought the movie sucked ass and hope and pray it's another 25yrs before they make another damn movie with any of these people again.!!

BTW: I enjoy the first one after watching it a few times and come to appreciate it's charms. I wasn't expecting the same but not bullshit for the sake of just wanting shit to be good. This movie can't and should never be compared to the first one. Its clear that hollywood is just taking old properties and making shit up now. You 've been warned!!

BTW2: After reading the wiki I'm more than ever convinced this movie sucked ass. The wiki explanation gives a way better explanation of the events of the movie in a way watching the movie does not make clear. Two thumbs up to wiki and two hands, and feet down to BLADE RUNNER 2049!!

Just caught it, was pretty good to me, way better than the original and that's one of my all time favorites. Only drawback was the length, it could've been much, much shorter and still got its point across. Acting was solid, set design (citys capes) was a too murky sometimes couldn't really see anything during the night scenes but overall good 3 and a 1/2 stars(***1/2).

As someone who loved the original, I'm very happy this movie was made. But I have to say that all the grandeur that this movie is and represents is ruined by one simple thing. Ryan Gosling. Oh yes, he at first seems like the obvious choice for the roll, I see that. Except that he plays the same character in all his movies; a person who expresses nothing. You can shoot him, stab him, kick him square in the balls, and the most you'll ever get as a reaction is that faint, quirky smile he's so known for. Personally, I don't see any difference between his characters, and how he behaves as a person off-camera. And I want to like him. I really do. But when he's put next to any other actor in the film, especially someone like the charismatic Harrison Ford, his brooding sense of quiet falls flat. When they told him he was to play a robot, did he envision something from a 50's sci-fi classic? All he needs are the short jerky movements and some beeps and boops and there it is. And Jared Leto is just as guilty. His calm and cool sociopathic representation of corporate owner just did not bring anything to the performance. Villian 101: you have to almost like them and fall to their charms to truly despise them when they are bad. In this respect, the original still wins out as the better film in my opinion.
 
It was good and after thinking about it, it had a lot of depth, it wasn't bad acting, well if it was it fit the character let's just put it that way. Damn the fucking movie theater was loud as hell dialog was clear but that damned horn/music noise was loud as fuck.

Denis Villeneuve did a great job, I liked the Olmos cameo still don't understand the bull tho'
 
I liked it. It dragged a bit then show you some incredible visuals rather CGI or practical that will quickly gain your attention back. Goslin is a Replicant himself so this is one movie he shouldn't show alot of emotion but I agree dude is not leading man material.

If you a smoker you can probably.light.up before.you watch this and be blown away. For ninjas with short attention spans and just need an explosion every 5 mins save your money
 
It was slow, but it was good. Ryan Gosling is supposed to be emotionless. He's a new model replicant, they are all emotionless. Don't know if that's a fair criticism about him not being able to act.

Anyways, I loved the sequel. And I love how K dying at the end had the same music playing when Roy Batty died (time to die). Consistent

The plot could use a little more but I thought it was enough. It was always about the society and the mood than the story imo.
It transported you to the world and this one did the same thing in grand fashion. It was just really visually pleasing and the acting actually was top notch. I got Gosling credit he has fucking talent it felt like he was searching, felt like he was sad, felt like he found his purpose
and the villain replicant was completely bad ass. She did her thing in every scene there was.

Just the little things, the dimly lit areas, the grand bright areas, the owner's chambers all of it was just really dope.

Deckard survived the film!!

I told y'all this in the Blade Runner thread this movie was a let down but it's growing on me more and more

There is no Roy Batty in this movie

They had us thinking Batista was going to be a bad ass

This joint was three hours long :smh:

I fell asleep so many times in this movie. I kept waking up hoping it was over.

This joint was the worlds longest movie and seemed that way.

I'll try to revisit when I'm not tired as shit I guess
