RepubliKlans in Ohio had a problem.
One of the main tenants of their tea-bagger ideology is the fiction that too many lazy, good-for-nothing, scrounging, vagabond, deadbeat people are receiving emergency safety-net benefits like Food Stamps (SNAP); — and therefore such benefits must be cut in order to get the moochers off of government benefits.
Former RepubliKlan Vice Presidential candidate lying Paul Ryan calls them “the takers”; — RMoney called them the 47%.
The problem Ohio RepubliKlans had was the fact that 63 percent of Ohio food stamp recipients were white, lived in southern Ohio and most importantly voted for the RepubliKlans in elections.
Ohio RepubliKlans did not want to cut food stamp benefits for their low-information, <s>FOX</s> FAKE news watching, white Southern Ohio voters.
On the other hand, the dreaded ‘Blacks’ who live in Ohio are mostly concentrated in the Northern Ohio Cleveland area.
How would the Ohio RepubliKlans solve their problem of how to cut food stamp benefits for the Blacks, but preserve them for the poor whites???
Since 2007 due to the most severe economic depression since the 1930’s Ohio has participated in the statewide work waiver program tied to the Federal Food Stamp program because of high employment rates . Current Food Stamp rules require childless adults who are not disabled to work or participate in a qualifying job-training program for a minimum of 20 hours per week. However, the federal government has waived the requirement in light of Ohio’s struggling economy. There would be no additional cost to the state of Ohio to again seek the waiver. Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan have already requested and been granted waivers to extend Food Stamp benefits. Indiana and Michigan State governments are run by RepubliKlans.
Under the leadership of RepubliKlan Gov. Kasich, republiklans in Ohio did not apply for a waiver for the entire State as Indiana and Michigan did; <span style="background-color: #FFFF00"><b>they extended the Food Stamp federal work waiver only to the 16 White populated counties and excluded the predominantly Black counties in the Northern Ohio Cleveland area — even though jobless rates remain distressingly high there.</b></span>
