In the latest twist to the Terrell Owens drama after being released Tuesday by the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League, TMZ.com reports that Owens is demanding a public apology by team owner Jon Frankel as well as payment for games played that he has not been paid for, according to a source.

The source told TMZ that Owens is owed four game checks worth more that $160,000. Owens also claims that he is still owed 50 percent of all revenue off of concessions, merchandise and tickets from during his tenure.

Owens is considering a lawsuit against the Wranglers because of information that was included in a press release announcing his release.

"The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back for Mr. Owens was his no-show to a scheduled appearance at a local children's hospital with other Wrangler players and coaches," Wranglers owner Jon Frankel said in the statement.

When specifically asked for his side of the story, Owens responded: "That don't work no more."

According to TMZ, an unnamed Wranglers coach said Owens was released because the team was going broke, not because he missed a recent team trip to a children's hospital.

The coach added that Owens played in three games after the hospital visit in early May.

Owens, 38, played for the Cowboys from 2006-2008, catching 38 touchdowns in 47 games. The six-time Pro Bowler signed with the Wranglers in January and became a part owner with hopes of getting another opportunity to play in the NFL.

Well things have just gotten interesting. Hard to say who is telling the truth. Owens has had his fair share of acting like a diva, but it did seem odd that the owner release him over missing away games after stating it is in his contract that he doesn't have to play in them.

T.O. might actually have a case here but the thing about it is when you have a bad reputation nobody wants to believe you

I doubt they could release him for just missing the visit to the childrens hospital but at the same time we have not read the terms of his contract

He may have been obligated to go to all that stuff or his contract could be terminated

Bottom line is the team hasn't made the type of money off of him that they had hoped for, nor are they doing well so if the owner saw a loophole in the contract to cut him I'm sure he jumped on it

Got a friend who plays on the squad im sure next time I see him he will tell me what really happened

That onwer's statement sounded like bullshit...he tryna tarnish the man's reputation by piling on.
The statement did sound like bullshit, but the owner would never be stupid enough to risk a libel suit unless he knew he has enforceable legal grounds and an ironclad contract.

Man what did he do in Allen? I didn't hear shit about him out there. Did he at least dominate?

no

he wasnt really trying to tho

I went to the first game and he had 3 touchdowns but thas very common for arena ball

dude was out there trying not to get hurt and I don't blame him

those niggas in the IFL are hungry as fuck
