Marsha, Marsha, Marsha ...

A Twitter poll by ardent Obamacare foe Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., on whether the health-care law should be repealed backfired big-time Wednesday as lots more people — a whole lot more people — tweeted "No," rather than "Yes."

Blackburn posted the poll Tuesday, asking people their views on repeal, and requesting that they retweet their support for killing Obamacare if they favored repeal.

She also asked in that tweet what people want to see as a replacement for the Affordable Care Act.

When the poll closed Wednesday, a whopping 84 percent of the nearly 8,000 votes were for "No" on the question of repeal.

The Hill.com noted that Blackburn's cause probably wasn't helped by the fact that White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz retweeted the poll Tuesday to his more than 23,000 Twitter followers.

Schultz's boss, President Barack Obama , lists the ACA as his signature legislative achievement, and on Wednesday visited Capitol Hill to encourage his fellow Democrats to defend it against Republican repeal-and-replace efforts.

Also Wednesday, President-elect Donald Trump , who has repeatedly called for the repeal of the ACA, warned his fellow Republicans in several tweetsto "be careful" how they handle the issue. Trump's tweets said Democrats "own" the "mess" and "disaster" of Obamacare, implying that if Republicans repeal-and-replace efforts lead to spikes in uninsured rates and premium prices, they too could suffer political fallout.

This is partly the media's fault, they never give the people who wants Obama care a voice all you hear is the negative propaganda.

Yea this makes sense, all we heard about its bad, it's gonna get worse, etc

Granted my moms had it after that first years she was like oooh hell no...which I thought was understood in the beginning

How many of those 8000 voters of the online poll live in her district? If they do live in her district, do they have her number?

True dat, but a few seats here and there in congress and the senate and a check and balance against King Cheeto will be in place.

Okay, there was a plan in place where, at the end of the year, insurance companies could present their losses for the year, and the gov't would reimburse them. It was budgeted for 10 years, and Marco Rubio snuck in a provision to kill that, knowing that would force them to raise their premiums. Oddly, nobody reported that.

Or that they were withholding the funds that would offset the premiums in the first place.

I live in Philadelphia. Philadelphia has 1 million residents. Redistricting needs to be thoroughly addressed in 4 years.

IMO redistricting should be left to the voting public, not gerrymandering politicians who continue to consolidate power to stay in their spot.

The mid-terms have rarely benefited the democrats.

Trust, people are motivated more than ever. Cheeto King is that exception and we must remember more than half the votes were against him. He pissed off too many demographics and people's eyes are wide open.

I don't think they can't not cover him. They can't help themselves. I only stopped when he did the apology to obama slash introduce his new DC hotel.

They could but they care about ratings more than integrity.
Journalistic integrity is completely gone. That's the only thing the journalist of yesteryear had right.
You'd have to check a story, vet it, get multiple sources AND THEN they'd run it
now it's like a cat burglar just choked donald trump out? PUT IT ON THE TICKER AS BREAKING NEWS we go live in 3 seconds.

Can you explain your reasoning?

How do you offer integrity in a world that wants gratification instantaneously?

But know what?

what would say if the Republicans actually GAINED seats?

They can only do it by gerrymander. Remember Cheeto lost the popular vote. He just need to take a billionaire dump on the Trumpanzees, they lost like all of us but they are too dumb to see that right now. Meanwhile I do hope the Dems and progressives grow them a set and stop being so cot damn cowardly and really fight for what they believe in. The repubs to their credit have no shame in how they play the game and they play to win, fuck being nice and taking the high road, it is time to roll up the sleeves and hop into the pig pen as far as I am concerned.

hope they hear you

cause that right there?

BETTER be the game plan going forward.

First 2 acts of the republican congress.

1. Tried to end ethics watchdog
2. Made it easier to kill off regulations with hidden voting and stop democrats fillabusting.

Only the beginning. There will be so many new voting restrictions targeted at minorities and democrats it will be impossible to gain any seat back.

The political war is over. Republicans won. Civil war is the only path to change now.

With the fight over health care in Congress brewing, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders took to the Senate floor Wednesday afternoon to argue against the Republican plan to repeal Obamacare. And Sanders brought with him a visual aid to help make his point: a poster-size print of a tweet from President-elect Donald Trump.

In the May 7, 2015, tweet, which came before Trump announced his presidential campaign, the real estate mogul bragged that he was the first potential GOP candidate to pledge no cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid — and that former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee had “copied” him.

I was the first & only potential GOP candidate to state there will be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. Huckabee copied me.

Either Donald Trump lied to the American people or he's got to say that he will veto any cuts to Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/596338364187602944 …

This Right here is all the Dems have to do; Just use his own words against him; and hammer it home every media appearance; Every Dem should do this in congress and just label repubs liars; if they did this constantly that would become the narrative and they would win back congress easily...
