The long-running comedy "Reno 911!" will not be returning for a new season on Comedy Central. "Reno 911! was canceled at 1:30 pm today," star and co-creator Thomas Lennon wrote on his Twitter feed Thursday afternoon. "Won't be wearing the shorts again."

The show, a parody of police-themed documentary shows such as "Cops," aired on Comedy Central for six seasons. It also produced a feature film, "Reno 911!: Miami," which grossed just over $20 million in 2007.

Season 1-5 were good, just was a few episodes from season 6, I wasn't the change with the new deputies. Other probably weren't liking the change either, so the rating went down the toliet.

They need to cancel the Comedy Channel! I haven't watched ANYTHING on there since...

get the fuck out of here. come on this one my fav shows. it funny we get the stupid ass chance of love and bull shit shows like that over and over. but we cant keep a good omedy show. fuck tv

Just finished watching Season 6 on DVD. It's one of the all-time great (and most underappreciated) TV comedy series ever. Very clever and outrageously hilarious (particularly the unedited cuts). Almost totally improvised.

This was one of my favorite shows... I've been a fan of Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant and Kerri Kinney-Silver since "The State". I thought this show was extremely clever, especially considering a majority of the dialogue and interactions were improvised. I will be the first to admit that the last season was extremely lackluster. Terry (Nick Swardson) was one of the few saving graces of the season but his contributions were limited as well. I don't want to contribute the total failure to the 2 new officers but I will admit, it's hard not to miss Garcia, Clemmie and even Kimball. It definitely felt different this season...

I"m hoping the crew come back with another show sometime in the near future. Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon have done a lot in Hollywood over the years... just look up their names on imdb and see what movies they've contirbuted to as writers or other integral roles behind the scenes.

The show will be missed.

Run for your lives folks, hell has officially frozen over, polarities have touched, we officially crossed our Dematerialize beams have been crossed, the apocalypse is upon us, Me and Blunt have agreed upon something!

niptuck got canceled, hopefully smallville is next

Can you really call that canceled? The announced it last year but staggered the episodes to the point that it will be 2011 before they actually show them all. That's like saying Lost was canceled two years ago when they announced an end date.

I liked Reno the first few seasons, then I just never caught the new episodes. I didn't care for the two new dudes.

Aside from Chappelle, South Park and The Daily Show, Comedy Central really ain't shit.

Mind of Mencia - sucks
The Sarah Silverman Show - sucks
Michael and Michael (they are trying hard to get Michael Ian Black on TV, that's like his 3rd show on CC)
The show with the people in the halfway house)
Scrubs reruns ( :dunno: )

I fucked with Reno, Futurama and the cartoon reality show

So...

Reno Sucked ass, just like that lame boring ass movie they made.

I get it. You weren't a fan. You have to have some gray matter in order to understand the references. Probably just flew right over your head. Your loss.

Wow...

you're giving that sad ass unfunny movie wayyyyyy too much credit.:smh::lol::lol::lol:

That's fine, good while it lasted, I'll still watch the reruns but I'm not crying over the cancellation. The show had no staying power, got old after the third season.

the last season was ASS!!!!!!!

They had new cops it was not funny anymore......the original cast had a funny pack with each other.

It's like changing some of the cast of Martin :smh::smh::smh:

Once Clemmie and Garcia left and the two dudes came on, it was a wrap.

Joe Lo Truglio is an excellent comedic actor and did a good job on the show in his one season. He's from the same background as the rest of the cast and could've easily been a regular cast member right from the beginning. (He did play a few other characters on the show over the years, as did the other new guy, another improv comedy veteran).

Truglio has appeared in most of the Apatow & Co. films over the last few years.

Bump.

The last season just looked different, the way it was filmed. Once Clemmie and Garcia left, I knew the show was on its last legs.
