Real Time with Bill Maher 6/8/18

Good panel discussion like how they lit into pussy ass dems not doing shit to highlight trumps bullshit or the progress that mueller is making :smh:

Yeah this was a good show. Michael Eric Dyson said the same thing I said about Bernie, which is why I couldn't support him over Hillary once I saw him at netroots, how he behaved with BLM, his supporters response and his dismissing of black folks concerns as identity politics. We can't not consider how stuff affects us as black people because the majority of experiences we have with white folks happen in part because of how they view black people.

He said since the election Bernie has changed his stance, I don't see any evidence of it yet, and I'm certainly not seeing it from his most vocal supporters on social media, but we shall see.

Yep there is one the reasons why I couldn’t support Bernie Sanders

If we consider black issues identity politics, then Obama avoided identity politics to get elected in 2008. Cat went all post-racial if you remember. Obama did what it took to win. That's why white people loved him. That post-racial strategy worked.

So do I.

A recession means everyone leaves SF and I get a shot at having an apartment instead of a room. Rich folks and clubs who would normally hire a band will hire a DJ to save money. Also means the return of Black nightlife.

I don't consider black issues "identity politics". That is the term white folks use to avoid and dismiss black issues. Obama ran on unity. It sounds like the same thing, but there is nuance. He didn't say xyz didn't matter. He focused on similarities and used that to bring together. He didn't say we will deny xyz is happening for the greater good. Folks who blast identity politics want to deny that black folks and women and other segments of society experience what they experience, but because its not THEIR experience. Bernie has a great message on economics and health care. However it doesn't address that qualified black folks with no criminal record will get over looked for less/unqualified white folks with a criminal record. Bernies way only works 100% in a world without racism. He comes from Vermont with 3% black population. Black issues were not on his radar. If it's true he's evolved, I'm glad. I just haven't seen evidence of it.

Did you hear the part where it was said that 54% of Republican's would support Trump if he decided to suspend the 2020 election?
