Very funny Coulter joke to open up... The 11% Democratic Congress, funny Rudolph Gulliani & Mitt Romney jokes.

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/v/1AYKSxfYSZA[/FLASH]
Second segment, Maher had an author on the show whom Osama bin Laden actually referenced... I'd definitely want to check out this guy's book after this, though it's apparent he's a callous, careless isolationist.

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/v/VK8rsqqxJXs[/FLASH]
Discussion of the previous segment; Iran/Musharaff; wiretapping

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/v/riETzMTwagk[/FLASH]
Dan Rather, MoveOn.org, "Petraeus or Betrayus"

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/v/XfGd1BhKWW0[/FLASH]
Maher interviews Bjorn Lomborg, a Danish economist-- as Maher aptly points out-- and author of "Cool It: The Skeptical Environmentalist Guide to Global Warming."

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/v/JqXj10yq7rc[/FLASH]
Panel rips on the economist; Maher negatively compares him to Alan Greenspan in a seque; Colin "I Ain't Tellin' The Truth About That Shit" Powell is also criticized, Maher has a great line about Clinton (re: marijuana); Blackwater and American civilians/contractors in Iraq

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/v/AbyUGTpRP08[/FLASH]
Blackwater is compared to Katrina for government ineptitude and pillage; Maher speaks on feminist hyperbole; Canadian press

New Rules!

Kiss my trophy!

After listening to the audience reaction when the first dude was talking about Israel Im convinced that there will never be any real debate about the Israel/palestine issue and Israel/US politics. It seems like anytime you bring these issues up they just tear your ass up in the media, Just like they did Jimmy carter.

The audience for this show has always been loony and reactionist, in the first two seasons Maher used to have to apologize for the crowd (to guests) on a regular basis because they were just unfairly partisan and it was, for a right-wing guest or someone who just said unpopular things, like Barry Bonds stepping into Dodger stadium.

"I'm more interested in the security of the United States!" will get you some applause. :dunno:

I am glad that a few people booed the idea that the security of Israel "is not worth one American dollar." That's a horrible thing to say about any nation (which is exactly how I view Israel-- as any nation).

"It doesn't matter to Americans if anyone votes again. We'll get by just fine." That's flat-out bullshit, on two levels. First, it's a bullshit sentiment-- fuck everyone else; we're the only ones that matter. Secondly, it's bullshit because it's untrue. Democracies seldom go to war with one another; totalitarian regimes which have crushed everything beneath them tend to then look around them. Not to even get into the religious means they've probably used to subordinate their people and the ramifications we feel in dealing with religious threats (which is to say, church and state together is more powerful than church and state apart, with the state even slightly tied to the sentiments of the people).

I wouldn't call his audience loony, i probably should have mentioned that it was a very small number of people that booed at that author. My point is that the people who did boo are a perfect example of those who for some reason feel like we owe some sort of debt to Israel.
Im not saying that these people are completely wrong, But Where Is there argument As to why we have to support Israel As opposed to say Africa?

I should Probably also point out that People on the Left And the Right of politics feel that we Owe Israel so its not partisan at all, but they have no argument at all, according to them we have a moral Obligation to support and protect Israel at all cost. So can someone tell what is so special about Israel?

Israel by far receives the most money and resources from the united states than any other country. It is a permanent military staging ground in the middle east for the united states. It's the united state's political chip in the UN (Israel has voted against every piece of international law proposed in the UN that didn't have the support of the US). They have nuclear weapons, and the strongest military in the middle east (which we gave them). And of course they are fuckin european devils that have absolutely no legal right to live on the land they have stolen. The US might as well support a country like that which it shares so much in common with....

There's many other more reasons as to why we support Israel to the extent we do, but you will have to read the often long and detailed facts surrounding it yourself. I can suggest if you are truly interested in understanding foreign policy that you stay away from books written by career politicians that are very careful to not implicate themselves in the crimes they conspired in the first place, but free thinking philosophers and academics. To get you started, the book Mos Def mentioned last week on that very show, Hegemony or Survival is an excellent book by Noam Chomsky. Too bad not one person that criticized Mos Def's appearance on the show last week said anything about his reference to that book (because they probably don't know a damn thing about it) doesn't surprise me...

It's full of ZIONISTS:dunno:

Anyway, I was SHOCKED AND PLEASED at Sheuers' comment regarding the U.S.' meddlesome foreign policies and asymmetrically destructive relationship with Israel.

I've said it for too many years, TAKE CARE OF HOME . . .Bravo Mr. Sheuer, BRAVO! 'Cause you can bet that when the shit hits the fan . . young Israeli girls and boys WON'T be dying to save YOUR asses . . . tell me I'm wrong. :smh:
