I made this new thread after viewing Ray Kroc's biography on CNBC. This man was in MAJOR debt. He took risks and reinvented the hamburger industry into a nation market. He was originally selling items to soda fountain shops. He sold a mixer that mixed 8 shakes at one time. He sold that mixer to a store called McDonald's. The McDonald brothers who owned the shop gave Kroc the rights to be their exclusive representative.
He then went from being a seller of mixers and working for the McDonald brothers to building a system where the franchise was a detailed operation with a management training program. He did alright financially until he got wise to the idea of selling the McDonalds brand to others that wanted an already set up franchise.
He went from selling mixers, to selling hamburgers, to selling real estate. It was THAT real estate that made him a millionaire and able to retire.
This is the important part of of the Ray Kroc story. If you as an enterpeneur get anything, what there is to get is he became a real estate man. He developed a system that worked for him even when he did nothing.
There are so many endeavors out here to do the same thing with. Including using the internet, paypal, adsense, clickbank, etc. that will work for you when you do almost or next to nothing that it doesn't make sense in the long term to stay at a job that can't even promise you a 401K or health insurance.
