Quiet as kept (or not), he has been in a bunch of movies and TV shows and has acted alongside some big names in hollywood. Why no props?

He was smart. I think it was by design because 'Funky Cold Medina' was ghosted by Young MC - Tone probably always thought of himself as an actor. Young MC tried the star route and got dumped on by the industry, ghost wrote for a while and then ultimately fell off. Tone Loc, older and wiser, fresh out so he knew the hustle, caught a lick and never looked back.

Tone Loc has a gangster look and an awesome voice which helps him get picked for the myriad thug/criminal roles. Young MC is clean cut, well spoken and how many roles could he possibly play with his persona and racist ass hollywood?
