Rapidshare Raises Maximum File Size Limit From 200mb to 500MB! [Porn Inside]

RS is on some shit. First of all, I post more porn/music than a motherfucker. They start some "If a link isn't downloaded in 90 days we kill it." I lost almost 5000 links from that shit...YES 5 THOUSAND. My Old School porn thread used to have 98% of the links working...now...who knows. It used to be that if you were premium member your links would never die. They are fucking their members big time. My music thread, I uploaded my entire C & D folder, only to have both of them die before I could post them.

The limit USED to be 200mb, so you had to split a 250mb link into two parts. Nobody likes two links, even if you are a member of that filesharing host (RS, HF, MU, DF, etc.). Last time they raised the limit they raised the HD space available from 25GB to 250GB...then they started killing folks links after 60 days of non-use. How are they going to fuck us now that they raised the limit to 500mb?

I'm happy, because this means less links for you guys. But at the same time I am a little hesitant. I don't know when the other shoe is gonna drop. If y'all haven't noticed I started using hotfiles along with my RS links. 500MB is nice, but I just know they are going to kill us with what they drop next.

They're not gonna kill me because I haven't logged into my RS acct. for awhile. Also, on HF you can upload files up to 2GB. I believe non premium users can download them as well. RS links that were that large required you to have a premium acct. to download files that large.

I don't think I am either. I don't like the way they played their customers. This wasn't the first time, it was just the time that pushed kats off of their service. They'll be yousendit status soon.

Rapidshare is getting a lot of hate, but that's to be expected from the top dog. Fact is, it was so popular that the Movie/Music/Video Game/Book industry all flexed on them to fall back. So they did. It was perfectly understandable from that vantage point. I can understand why the users felt screwed, but it was either that or get shut the fuck down completely.

Now you have what looks to be hotfile on the come up. Mofos are gonna sign their praises too...until it gets too big and they get flexed on also. Then people will cry again. Some other hosting site will come up and the cycle will repeat.

i dont have the link to back it up, but i read recently that RS is trying to go legit. When a RS link is clicked on, you would get re-directed to a page that would give you the option to pay for the download. I don't know how true that is, but i'm not dealing with them anymore. Best bet is to stay abreast of what's happening in the news, and stay one step ahead of ALL of these sites. Hotfile could be like RS in a year or two for all we know.

Shit, you can type in PART of a file name ("MILF" and it will bring up any link you have uploaded that has that in it. So, for a person like me who isn't sure what rar's I have uploaded or haven't, I can check easily...then delete the rar and post. If hotfile gets that same search feature...WHOO!! But on my computer, HF uploads slower that RS.

The truth is, RS has been fucking us over for years one way or the other. They are the most popular and they have been for years, but they are far from the best, and now there is more competition. HF, DF, MU, MR, FF, plus the upstart Oren & sharingmatrix. I haven't paid for RS since 2006 because of all I post, but the re-work I have had to do over the past 9 months is seriously making me doubt them. The REAL truth, the only reason I stay with RS is because I have maybe 10000 links active on RS. If I wasn't so committed...I would have been gone to one of the other ones

Since many forums for apps/music/movies are using mostly hotfiles I thought I wouldn't miss a beat. I currently have premium for hotfiles, megaupload, and depositfiles. I said fk rapidshare, but now I have a little problem.....There are a few music programs I need. In total its about 160gb worth of shyt. I can only find the links on rapidshare. These files are so large, i don't even think anybody will be uploading them to hf any time soon. How many fkn rapids do I need to purchase for 160gb worth of shyt?? How much is that going to cost me?

Why do some upload to megaporn and megarotic? Do they offer something megaupload doesn't? I ask because me and many others have megaupload premiums and I never understood why people switched to megarotic and megaporn. Also why all these new uploading sites.......why can't we just stick to hotfiles and megaupload. I'm not complaining since i'm not a big uploader, just wondering is there some specific reason that on bgol in particular there's like 7 different uploading sites used on the regular. Most of the other forums i'm on use hf, mu, and df---that's the standard and on some forums hf and mu is the law.

like i did back in the day with rapidshare.com and rapidshare.de atleast they let you transfer........i just wonder is there something that megaporn and megarotic offer that megaupload doesn't? I know there use to be some sites to get around the megaporn and megarotic wait times and download limits. If anybody has it holla, there's some good shyt posted on bgol from megaporn and megarotic.
